The Meat Quality and Service here are great, I hate to leave a negative review but DOG OWNERS BEWARE! The smoked dog bones they sell are NOT SAFE for dogs. Both of my dogs became VERY SICK after being given a bone from here. One dog had to be rushed to an emergency vet appointment and both were throwing up bone fragments all night. Please if you care about your pups, skip the smoked bones and opt for a safer snack.

Great, high-quality meat! We really enjoy the variety of brats for the summer grilling season.
Just a note for customers, make sure you go in well before closing time. I went in 25 mins prior to closing and felt very awkward. They had already shut down the deli and were very obviously ready to go home. One employee let me know they had already cleaned all the equipment and put it away, and someone was going to bring everything back out. I declined and didnt buy anything because I felt like I shouldn't be there that late and did not want them do all that extra work. It could be standard to close down that early - I just wasn't aware and wanted others to know to go in earlier than I did. Unfortunately it's hard for me to stop in because I work during the week.

I love that Heffelfingers moved to Ashland, and when you walk in someone always speaks to you and staff is very friendly. You always get fresh meat and good service.

This is a full service meat market. You can buy special brats or a complete side of beef or pork. They have excellent steaks and fresh and frozen meats.

It was our first time in Heffelfinger's the staff were wonderful and willing to answer any of our questions, prices were good and the selection of products are great ! I can not wait to do more shopping and will recommend to friends and family to do the same. Thank you for all you guys do !

Best meats in town. Worst retail team EVER. I used to work there and the last time I went in for a purchase I was completely ignored at the counter. So I went with frozen options. I had to wait at the register for a conversation to wrap up. I was finally able to pay for my grab and go options ( seeing as how the counter was closed for service) and STILL with the attitude. Thank you Erika.I wish Galin could be on the counter more often.

Great meats but extraordinarily poor service. It's almost as though these people have never had a real job before. If you can get service from someone in the back you are GOLDEN. Because the counter help is useless.
