The product selection has really revamped with its brands. The employees are very eager to help.I think they need more pamphlets about item descriptions/comparison to really reassure customers they are getting the right tool.

I like to go here (the Ashland store) if I need a little part for something I'm working on or the garden center, but not to spend any big money here anymore. I much preferred this place when the previous owners had it because they stood behind their products and took care of their customers, these owners do not. In fact, they'll sell you something they know is defective just to get it out of their store, then leave you high and dry telling you they can't help you. Here's what happened the last time I spent big money there... On 6/15/21 I bought a Samsung Refrigerator, French Doors, White, (#RF27T5201) from Farm & Home Hardware in Ashland, Ohio. Purchase Price was $2,116.46. March & April, 2022 Ice maker squirting and leaking water, ice cubes very wet and partly soft. By the first week of April, 2022, the ice maker quit working completely. I was back and forth on phone with service people several times trying to figure out what to do about it. Lady explained to me she'd have to talk to someone else because this model refrigerator is known for this problem and it's not fixable, then went on to say this is why Farm & Home Hardware decided once they sell out of this model they won't sell them anymore, but since I'm still within my 1-year warranty, maybe they could do something for me. I suggested I return the refrigerator and she said I would have to talk to the manager about that, but she was sure I couldn't do that. She then suggested I purchase one of those counter-top ice makers, but I told her I don't have room on my kitchen counter for that, and that's why buying a refrigerator with an ice maker was so important to me. When I talked to her again she told me they decided they would order a new ice maker to replace my ice maker but I would have to pay the labor charge of $100.00 per hour AND an $80.00 service fee for coming to my home. (I live within a mile from their store). May 24, 2022 Service man came to replace ice maker and told me that it probably wouldn't last more than a couple months (he was right) because this model has a permanent defect and cannot be fixed for any length of time. He said they decided not to carry them anymore because of this problem. Their repairmen came out another 2 or 3 times to 'temporarily' fix the ice maker. I told them over the phone when scheduling the last appointment that I shouldn't have to pay those fees every time they come out when they knew what I was getting into when I bought this refrigerator, so they didn't charge me for that time, but after they 'fixed' the ice maker they told me there was nothing more they could do for me. After that I called and talked to Chuck, the manager. He told me all they could do for me was to sell me another refrigerator. When I told him I thought they should take this one back or at the very least give me a good discount on a new one, Chuck told me the only thing he could do was to sell me one that's already on sale, then he suggested I buy a GE model on sale for $2,599.00 at that time. I told him I already spent over $2,000.00 on the Samsung they sold me in June and I didn't have another $2,000.00 and up laying around to be able to do that again. We ended the conversation with him saying he was sorry but he wasn't going to be able to help me anymore. At this point in time, my husband has to work on the ice maker about every 4 weeks to get it to work halfway decent. So now I'm stuck with a refrigerator that's never worked right, out $2,116.00 that's hard to save up again, and it just adds salt to my wounds to think about how many times I preached to people how important it is to 'buy local' and support our local businesses when now it's obvious to me that Farm & Home Hardware in Ashland, Ohio doesn't care about community when they're willing to rip off its residents. Just last week I needed to replace my dishwasher. I bought one at Lowe's.

Nice door greeter, not a lot of help inside, and low on the options I needed for the day.Over all a good store though.

The owner called me directly to talk through the issues of the mower and listen to my frustrations as a customer. I HIGHLY recommend Home Hardware. It makes a statement when your local business and the owner for that matter go out of their way to make things right. NEVER will you find that at a big box store.

Dawn was extremely helpful in researching an appliance package. Her communication was wonderful and she asked thoughtful questions. She was willing to "go that extra mile!" Thank you Dawn!

We just love this store. The service is always exceptional, and you can find everything you could possibly need, plus much more. We ALWAYS purchase more than we came in for. A good example is that we purchased some Lodge items that we didn't plan on coming in to shop. You simply can't beat them. Just take the time to explore, especially their home and gift area, and you'll be amazed they carry hard to find items. If they don't have what you're looking for, they will order it for you.

They have an awesome selection of Yetti merchandise. They personalized 2 Yetti cups for me with their onsite engraver. They turned out awesome, way above my expectations.

We paid $160 for another person to come out and find and clear the clog YOUR lazy tech failed to do. As far as I’m concerned you owe us $160 plus the labor you charged us seeing as your tech failed to do a complete job. And your tech is still lying through his teeth. As someone who spent most of their life in the service industry, your lackadaisical attitude toward this entire situation is insulting and concerning. If you continue to treat people this way you will learn the hard way what happens. As far as I’m concerned you have no integrity as a business owner.2nd Update***My washer is now fixed! It was fixed by someone from another company who actually used a multimeter and went through all the proper steps to clear the error that the Home Hardware tech failed to do. When it was still giving the same error, this man started looking for a clog, turns out there was a small clog in the line. The Home Hardware tech would have discovered this had he run a full rinse and spin cycle like he’s claiming he did. I don’t appreciate being called a liar. We would never leave a stranger in our home unattended for any reason. And if we weren’t home, how was the work paid for and who signed for it?Update***Now you and your tech are straight up lying. My boyfriend and I were both present both times the tech was in our home. My boyfriend used his credit card and signed for the work. No one left the room the entire time let alone the house. Also your tech DID NOT run a complete cycle of any kind on the washer, he ran it for maybe 2 minutes, said good enough and left. You keep making a bad situation worse. It’s time to admit you guys really dropped the ball.Worst experience ever. Came out, misdiagnosed the issue with my washer, replaced a part that wasn’t the issue, still have same issue and they refuse to admit that maybe they messed up. Technician never used a multimeter to check the possibly faulty part, misquoted the price for the part and never stuck around to make sure the part worker properly and that the washer was no longer throwing the error. They charged me $350 to replace a part that took 10 minutes to swap out. The part itself was $170, so I was bent over on the labor and still my washer is not fixed.

Had new Refrigerator, Range, Dishwasher and above the Range Microwave delivered and installed today! The delivery team Evan and Kaden were very professional and did a great job bringing in the new and taking out the old stuff! Brian the service guy was awesome. He installed, tested, and explained the features on each appliance to make sure everything worked as it should. Would definitely recommend these guys to everyone!

I've been shopping here since they were Home Hardware. Now Farm & Home Hardware they are just as good and better than before. Sometimes, I can't find what I need, but they're always polite and go the extra mile to help me find what I am looking for.
