#1.... he is honest ! I've had endless bad luck with way to many dishonest auto repair and auto body shops. Gumbert is reasonable, fair , and honest. He does much of the work himself and the quality shows. There are a few other body shops in that area that I had a nightmare experience with.

I'd look elsewhere. He gives poor advise. I don't think he understands the mechanics of a car. He looked at the trunk damage of my car and said the exhaust pipe was pushed back to the engine and it would need to be replaced. I got a second estimate and ended up going with that shop as i was concerned this guy didnt get it. The other shop said the exhaust was fine. Also never got a written estimate so didnt know what he was really going to do. Just a number over the phone. I think he just does simple jobs, no body work, just painting.

Doug was recommended to me by a friend a couple of years ago. He has done body work on 3 of my cars and i couldn't be happier. Doug does incredible work and I would recommend his services to anyone.
