Ordered materials to build our own deck. We were told everything was in stock when we placed the order and were given a delivery date. A few days before delivery, we called to confirm and were told the whole order had been cancelled because the boards were not available. No one had notified us of this, so we had to start over and place a new order. Waited 3 months more for delivery. Upon delivery, discovered they ordered the wrong boards. Waited another month to get correct ones. Now it's winter and can't start on deck until spring. Once we started installing the rails, discovered half of the rails were wrong. They had sent us stair rails instead of straight rails. We returned those, waited another month for the new ones, and then the new ones did not quite match the rest because they were obviously from a different lot. At this point, Lowe's refused to do any more exchanges/returns because "it had been too long." However, if they would have ordered all of the correct materials in the first place, we wouldn't have had this problem. They did not see it that way. We will never do business with them again.

I'd give Lowe's a -5 if I could, I can't believe the nightmare we are going through, one installer wanted money to do his job that we paid Lowe's, then left the gas disconnected , no heat, I had to call-and pay Hills to re connect it, the install company's owner didn't know how to turn the gas back on! Thanks Hill your the BEST !!! I had a call from Lowe's a few days later told them what happened I was advised to cancel the check I gave them and they would get this straightened out...... oh yeah, another 2 days and the owner of the ones who installed the cooktop threatened to put a lien on our home and was at that minute going to the city to start a law suit to sue us. Great job Lowe's . Then the granite install went horribly wrong, wood shims showing, one slab was installed crooked, another slab is 1/2" or more bigger that the opposite side. The gaps in the granite by the cooktop are huge. The expensive SS sink was totally ruined by the installers trying to drill a hole thru the sink and bracket for the soap dispenser they caught the bit on almost on Fire it was so hot. They couldn't drill thru so the bent the under part of the SS sink ,bracket and all, then the soap bottle still didn't fit. We were not happy at all we told them at the time the counters were off and the seams were to big. They had to call and arrange another time to come back. The stone company was/ is no better either is Alliance Lowe's, we have been into Lowe's at least 10 times, the last manager credited our account $139.00 the payment we pay for having put this remodel on our Lowe's credit card. We still haven't had one call on the ventless hood we special ordered over 2 months ago, so our kitchen is a real nightmare. As I sit here now with no water and vent hood what good is the kitchen and why in the hell isn't Lowe's taking care of this, I've got a list of names who we talked to who we talked to at Lowe's, they all pass the buck, it's disgusting a local store treats its customers this bad. Give me a call Lowe's it's Barbara Goodman you know the number. Better yet get me a corporate manager to call, someone who might know something, anything .

I ordered a stove online for convenience of going in and picking it up with little wait time as I'm sure most do. I arrived and went straight to the customer service department and was promptly greeted with a rude "what do you want?" From the young lady behind the desk. I explained to her I'm here to pick up an online order. She then sighed. She went on to page "nick" and said my item would be up in a few mins. After about 15 mins I asked her what was going on she then paged him 3-4 times Finally he said he was on his way. I then waited longer to turn around and see "nick" talking to a fellow coworker with my stove in tow and thought ohhh okay he is helping her out I then waited even longer as they jokingly talk and obviously weren't talking about work related things. I finally had enough I walked up to the young lady trying to be polite and saying excuse me twice, finally getting her attention I said cancel my order she then said well there he is I said I know he has been standing there 10 mins, CANCEL the order. Obviously my time meant nothing to them! If you offer a service make sure it's what you promise! I have used it many of times with Home Depot and never have had such horrible customer service this store should be ashamed! I am remodeling a home and apartment in which I will be buying thousands of dollars on appliances and items needed for them but I can assure you it will not be here!

You better know what you want before you go hear. The sales staff turn and run . The tool dept guy is unhelpful and rude. It's ok I'll buy all my stuff someplace nice. The electrical dept person was just a unhelpful butt. I don't need a blowup toy I want good service. Just because there's know where else in town you treat ppl like crap . Canton is not to far I'll go there.
