Giant Eagle Supermarket has been serving customers with fresh, high-quality foods since 1931, offering a variety of products and services, including grocery pickup, delivery, and an in-store pharmacy. However, some shoppers have expressed frustrations regarding the store’s pricing and checkout processes. Many customers feel misled by the requirement of a club card for sale prices, leading to complaints about “bait and switch” pricing, especially for visitors. The self-checkout system has also drawn criticism, with suggestions for more visible signage to inform customers about the necessity of the advantage card. While some appreciate the large selection of products, including beer and wine, others find the self-checkout frustrating and prefer traditional cashiers. Additionally, cleanliness and the quality of produce have been points of concern, with calls for improved bathroom maintenance and fresher produce. Despite these issues, shoppers have praised the helpfulness of the staff and the store's handicap accessibility. Overall, while Giant Eagle offers a wide range of groceries and services, customer experiences vary, particularly regarding pricing transparency and checkout convenience.
Great market. Wasn't impressed about the price of a sheet cake. The cake was very thin. Definitely use walmart again

Must have Giant Eagle club card for sale prices. As a out of town visitor, this seems like bait and switch pricing. No mention of need for membership on shelf pricing.
