“Very polite and helpful to my babies. I have brought a few of my dogs, recently a rescue we just adopted and they were amazingly kind and knowledgeable and helped with the discomfort in his ear.”
“Best experience, for me and my dog Diogi who didn't know it at that time. He had long nails and needed a rabies shot. The vet had to muzzle him ever so gently cause he nipped at her,the vet tech and I had to hold him down , he's a very spoiled dogger but won't let me touch his nails to save his life, she cut them down so wonderfully he's so happy now. I have used this vet for over 10 yrs. I appreciate everyone there”
“We recently had to say goodbye to our dog of 11 years, Archie. We had never been to this vet with him before. They gave us our time and space to make the difficult decision to end our dogs pain and suffering. The cost was not too bad and we had options we could choose from. The process was peaceful and good for our buddy. A gew days latwr we recieved a card in the mail signed by all the staff. It was a sweet touch and would highly reccomend to anyone.”
“There’s no vet I would trust as much as Dr.Scott. He has taken care of my pets since I was a kid. He cares so much about every cat, dog, and any other kind of critter that is brought in. He has also always answered my questions thoroughly in language that I can understand to make informed decisions about my fur babies. He’s one of the few vets I’ve heard of that gives you options and feedback on courses of treatment and doesn’t prey on lack of medical/veterinary knowledge to make a buck. There have been occasions when I bring my pets in with symptoms and he gives me options but recommends watching and waiting. He’s a vet that won’t require tests, medications or procedures unnecessarily to pad the bill. I wish this ranking system was more than 5 stars, they are 10/10 and I will only ever take my pets here for vet care.
The vet techs and receptionists here are also incredibly kind and helpful. The whole team here rocks!!”

“Dr Ben Pearson is extremely knowledgeable and always takes the time to explain everything when we bring our dogs in for their exams. We’ve needed to have one of the dogs seen for urgent situations several times and he always fits us in that day and we’ve never had a long wait time at his office. Dr Pearson is a doctor that you can trust to take care of your animals health and to charge you an honest, fair price for doing so.”
“They work very well with my baby, they take their time with him because he gets very anxious around strangers but they attend to him very well and for that I'm grateful!”

“I was so beyond happy to have this team take care of my dog, who is my world. From start to finish, there wasn’t one time I wasn’t impressed. I wish they would treat humans because I’d happily go there for my own treatment! My baby boy has his puppy dog eyes back and I’m beyond thankful”
“First of all, I am appalled by the one star reviews because I have been coming to Highland Vet following Dr. O'Connor from previous vet in Barberton. I travel fro Hartville to receive the best services. First of all, Covid and remodeling has left it a bit inconvenient, but sometimes there is a reason for long delays. I have had to put my animal down, and they took the time to care for my pet which probably caused a delay for another appointment. When I have to wait, I know that someone else's pet is getting the attention they need. They have treated at least 25 of my pets/rescues over the past 25 years. I have been to other vets in the past, but Highland Vet has treated all my pets with the best care, surgeries, and compassion at the end. Thank you all for your speedy prescriptions, knowledge, and the best care for my pets. They are so good with my Lucy who is going blind and has many issues. Thank you for the tips for Bosco who has a lot of Border Collie energy and behaviors. Thanks for caring!”
“This vet left an impression on me. Over 20 years ago, there was a stray black lab living around Goodyear’s HQ in Akron. It was late fall and after months of trying to trap the dog to adopt it, I was given Dr. Slenn’s number as he worked with a group who tried to find homes for strays. Dr Slenn volunteered to find the dog and use a tranquilizer dart to capture him.
Unfortunately, the stray dog had a rare condition that made him allergic to the tranquilizer and he died. I know he felt terrible about it as I did, but it was not his fault. This vet loves animals and tries his best! If I still lived in the area and had dogs he would be the first vet I would call!!!”
“We had an outside cat with a facial injury that had to be seen at once. They were able to give us an appointment on a Saturday morning. Dr. Andray and all of the staff were amazing. They handled the spicy ginger boy with care and he is now sitting in a crate pouting. They helped us take care of him so that he will live a longer better life.”

1700 W Exchange St, Akron“Pros: less expensive than my vet, the surgery went very well. Con: they gave my dog trazadone to keep him from trying to lick his surgical incision, and it gave him serious neurological affects.... so I went to my vet to get him new meds from my regular vet, and they put him on an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, and gabapentin for pain.... and so therefore, I ended up not saving money in the end.”
“these guys are great. had them take care of our two cats and dog for the last 4 hours. could always rely on practical advice, honest assessments and great service. they went above and beyond to assist with getting our animals ready for an international move. can’t recommend enough.”

They took her right away. Unfortunately we had to say our goodbyes to her that day, but the staff here is amazing how they treat you when you're there. I can't say enough about what they did for my family. I would highly recommend them if you need emergency care for your furry family member. Again, thank you to the staff for everything you did”

1053 S Cleveland Massillon Rd, Akron“I was devastated when my Loki boy was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia at only 10 months old. Our veterinarian referred us to Metropolitan for an ortho consult. They got us in for an exam within a week, and his surgery was done 3 days later. My Loki is at home recovering now and I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff here. From the ladies at the front desk, to the veterinary assistants, to the man the myth the legend—Dr. Daye himself, absolutely everyone was wonderful. They were kind, compassionate, explained everything every step of the way, answered all of my questions, and kept me well updated after his surgery on how my guy was doing. This place is absolutely amazing. Thank you to all who took such amazing care of Loki. Your love and dedication to my boy will never be forgotten. I will forever sing your praises.”
“Ok, I can't say enough good about Dr Faulkner and his staff. We weren't patients for very long. Our Baxter who was only 10 mos old had to b put down last night. The clinic was technically closed but Dr Faulkner and the staff stayed to do surgery. As soon as we came in the door they were all over us, loving on Baxter and and reassuring me. Unfortunately sometimes things like this happen and no matter the love or care received isn't enough. This was my Bax. He was only 10 mos old. He absolutely loved everyone at the Gentle Vet. They make you feel so welcomed and provide quality care for your pet. I will be forever grateful to them for the love and excellent care they showed my baby. When the time is right, I'm sure I'll b a mom again and the Gentle Vet is where I'll be coming. They are truly wonderful people. Thanks everyone for all you did.”
