She sheds a lot so the defurminator treatment they do works well and not a lot of other places do that. She’s a very white husky but every time I pick her up after her appointment I’m always shocked at how white she is—not so yellow anymore lol. The employees are very nice and even nice when I have missed the notifications on my phone that my dog is ready to be picked up. Thanks Wash Wag! I appreciate you all.

My golden doodle is a rescue from a puppy mill and Michelle took her time with Quinni and gained her trust. When Quinni got out of our fence we found her covered in bristles and dirt. 625 N Cleveland Massillon Rd, AkronThis vet left an impression on me. Over 20 years ago, there was a stray black lab living around Goodyear’s HQ in Akron. It was late fall and after months of trying to trap the dog to adopt it, I was given Dr. Slenn’s number as he worked with a group who tried to find homes for strays. Dr Slenn volunteered to find the dog and use a tranquilizer dart to capture him.
Unfortunately, the stray dog had a rare condition that made him allergic to the tranquilizer and he died. I know he felt terrible about it as I did, but it was not his fault. This vet loves animals and tries his best! If I still lived in the area and had dogs he would be the first vet I would call!!!

578 W Market St, AkronFirst of all, I am appalled by the one star reviews because I have been coming to Highland Vet following Dr. O'Connor from previous vet in Barberton. I travel fro Hartville to receive the best services. First of all, Covid and remodeling has left it a bit inconvenient, but sometimes there is a reason for long delays. I have had to put my animal down, and they took the time to care for my pet which probably caused a delay for another appointment. When I have to wait, I know that someone else's pet is getting the attention they need. They have treated at least 25 of my pets/rescues over the past 25 years. I have been to other vets in the past, but Highland Vet has treated all my pets with the best care, surgeries, and compassion at the end. Thank you all for your speedy prescriptions, knowledge, and the best care for my pets. They are so good with my Lucy who is going blind and has many issues. Thank you for the tips for Bosco who has a lot of Border Collie energy and behaviors. Thanks for caring!

Before K9 Guide, Ace was a very loving and caring dog, but seemed to be the physical embodiment of chaos. Literally bouncing off the walls. Knocking our daughter over out of pure excitement of seeing her. His reactivity to EVERYTHING was horrid. Walks were dreaded. Manners and self-control were not in his vocabulary. When my wife and I learned of K9 Guide, we decided to give it a shot. The results were mind blowing.After him returning home from their board program, and having a few lessons at home, Ace is THE dog many strive to have. His reactivity is essentially non existent now. Walks are now a joy and pleasure. His recall is amazing, coming without hesitation. He is easily one of, if not, the best behaved dog in our neighborhood. Inside the home, he's so much more well behaved. He interacts with our daughter so gently now. No more chaos, no more bouncing off the walls, no more feeling as if he ran the house. Collin, Yana, and Jimmie have done an amazing job and are truly a blessing from God. They have not only helped Ace, but helped me aswell. I have become such a better owner for Ace through the things they've taught me on training him. K9 Guide is a wonderful organization and have turned my chaos pup into the best behaved boy around. And best yet, he is still his loving full of joy self.

So far, I’ve participated in the puppy class and am currently in the beginners class. Both classes have had wide varieties of breeds and owners & I’ve seen improvements with all dogs participating in the classes. Even if you know the basics of dog training, the structure of the class schedules and training materials that are provided have been extremely helpful and we’ve learned even more than I expected. If you follow the instructions, you’ll have a well-behaved dog. The classes are a solid combination of instructional time, training demonstrations, and time to practice the commands with your dog. There is also time for Q&A and they’ll provide hands on assistance and demonstrations for any specific issues you may be having. The puppy class included all types of information, such as basic commands training, potty/crate training, first aid, safety tips, grooming, and overall basic manners. The beginners class has continued to build on my dog’s leash, command, and impulse control skills. It’s a fun time to bond with your dog. My dog looks forward to going inside as soon as he realizes we’re in the parking lot. The facility is clean, spacious, and there’s a fenced in outdoor potty area in the back for any as-needed breaks. Definitely recommend them to everyone!

Erica came out to my car and was sooo very nice. She let me park there until the roads were clear and it quit snowing. The grounds are beautiful. 1680 E Waterloo Rd, AkronGreat smaller brewery. Stopped in on the fourth of July, saw the food and reviews and had to check it out. Wasn't their usual menu but they were having a cookout. Had a great Angus burger and the hubby had the chorizo burger. We both had the spicy pasta salad. Very good.
We had the blackberry shandy, the mango and florita. All were very tasty, not overly sweet.
They were pretty busy and plenty of wait staff. We will be back to try the menu and more great beers!
