Be aware of this clinic. My family went through a really difficult time with this practice. They lost our medical records and tried to prevent us from seeing the procedure being performed on our first visit. They also overcharged (x4 the price for the same procedure compared to the nearby clinic). They also won't let you inside the building but will make you wait in your car with your pet, even though there is plenty of space by the front desk. I could tell that they do not like pets hanging in the waiting area. They also performed a bunch of procedures and vaccines that were not needed which was not even part of our appointment, which later we found out about. When my brother reached back with a question regarding this, but they blocked his phone number so we could not reach the clinic for a week. They finally replied after several weeks of attempts, sending a piece of contact information for their insurance company, and telling us to file a claim there. What kind of insurance company admits fault where they are responsible for payment? This is not acceptable, and I am working with accreditation bodies to revoke licenses for this malpractice.

They lost the previous medical records for my cat and performed procedures that were not needed for my cat, hurting her unnecessarily. I was billed for more than 4 times the amount from other vet for the same procedure. They tried to not let me in to see my cat during the procedure. I emailed expressing my concerns but no reply. They blocked my phone number and I cannot reach clinic by phone. I am taking action against this malpractice and reaching out to associations to get this Dr's license provoked for good.

First of all, I am appalled by the one star reviews because I have been coming to Highland Vet following Dr. O'Connor from previous vet in Barberton. I travel fro Hartville to receive the best services. First of all, Covid and remodeling has left it a bit inconvenient, but sometimes there is a reason for long delays. I have had to put my animal down, and they took the time to care for my pet which probably caused a delay for another appointment. When I have to wait, I know that someone else's pet is getting the attention they need. They have treated at least 25 of my pets/rescues over the past 25 years. I have been to other vets in the past, but Highland Vet has treated all my pets with the best care, surgeries, and compassion at the end. Thank you all for your speedy prescriptions, knowledge, and the best care for my pets. They are so good with my Lucy who is going blind and has many issues. Thank you for the tips for Bosco who has a lot of Border Collie energy and behaviors. Thanks for caring!

Fine for shots and petting puppies. For ongoing care and needs of senior pets, go elsewhere. Here, you can count on being callously deferred to Highland Animal Hospital and then back to Highland Veterinary Clinic. Do the math on the delay of care for your pet and the increased costs of being passed between two similarly named places, and pick another Vet. Because if this one does decide to help your senior pet after you post a 1-Star review, that'll be an additional "$75 work-in fee."

This facility is a lifesaver. We're fostering a small dog while her owner is in the hospital/rehab. The dog has never been to a vet, and needed a rabies shot so she could visit her owner. Most vets are booking in July. Nancy O'Connor and her wonderful staff squeezed us in nearly immediately, gave her her shot, clipped her nails, and checked her ears, to find a slight yeast infection. Now if I can just get those drops in! Thank you again. You are all pretty terrific! Sharon Lorentzen

She's been my pets vet for over 30 years. She and her staff are super fantastic. Reasonable prices and very helpful in any situation. Dr Andre is wonderful as well.

We took our cats there for their booster vaccines. They were especially helpful with our long-hair. She had been developing clumps along her belly. They got them out and gave us some much needed tips on how to keep them away.

A first visit with my cocker spaniel, Charlie, proved that I had chosen the best veterinary office for my dog. Charlie was scared (as he always is with a Vet) but everyone here from the receptionist to the Vet Tech to Dr. O'Connor was patient, kind and loving to my dog. As a "dog-mom", I couldn't be more pleased with the care and concern he got today. This is a good place and their affiliation with Metro Vet Hospital just adds a perk to the mix.

Dr. O'Connor is very knowledgeable and genuinely cares about the patients. She is receptive to questions and provides good information. I don't think you can go wrong with her or her clinic.
