I went here as a “newbie” and was so happy I got to work with Rose Marie. She was so helpful in picking fibers for multiple canvases. We had so much fun deciding on brand and colors! I spent over an hour working with her and she was so knowledgeable on the art. I learned so much and can’t wait to go back and learn even more from her!
The store has every brand of fibers you could think of, accessories, stands, bags and canvas GALORE! The store itself was new and very clean and organized. The canvases were organized by category and hanging on moving boards and made it so easy to browse!
I will 100% be back and frequently! I couldn’t recommend it more!

I love this store. They remember every project you’re working on and they take the time to listen to questions, give suggestions, and help pick out fibers.

This is an awesome store! Very modern needlepoint canvases are available for purchase as well as a variety threads and gifts for the stitcher in your life. If one is into cross-stitch, there are kits available too. The primary focus is on needlepoint. The store is beautifully organized! The owner is super nice, helpful and friendly. I of the Needle is the only needlepoint store in Akron. It's previous location was on Shiawassee Ave in Fairlawn; current location is 837 N. Cleveland-Massillon Road in Ghent. The owner welcomed me as soon as I walked through the door. Currently, there is a Danji Designs trunk show going on. The purple bunny I purchased to stitch was from that trunk show. When you come to I of the Needle, be sure to allow time to walk around and look at all the canvases. So many beautiful ones to see! Looking forward to stitching what I purchased today, especially since I want to go back and purchase more items.
