The manager was really rude she didnt announce that there would be a shift change in the middle of me standing in line for one thing so she helped everybody in line and when she got to me she decided to do shift change then and when i first came in the lady didnt wanna sell me a gift card because i was getting cash back and it was almost time for her to go if u dnt like yo job do somthing else i didnt tell u to work at dollar general and be miserable i really wish i could give 0 stars ghis location or maybe just the staff are horrible!!! Bad news stay away from here go to family dollar or dollar tree if u live by brown st in akron the parking lot was trashy

Don't just take my word for it. Other reviews point out how rude the staff is. They need to hire a whole a new family of people to run this place.

Stopped to check out the toys but picked up a few things - cookie sheet 6.50, two basting spoons 1.00+1.00, 64oz ice tea 2.50.
Head cashier showing the new guy how to ring out while handling a problem on another register. Process my CC and go to leave.
Wait this shouldn't be $25. There's a Pet charge for 11.76 with no UPC after everything was rung up.
Cashier tries to call her boss on vacation, tries to call her boss's boss, tries to call corporate.
They say check the camera to see what else was rung up - nothing. Send me a pic of the receipt.
No one knows what happened or how to remove the extra charge from my card.
After waiting for almost TWO hours the 3 working cashiers step up and try to take cash back on their Chime cards to give me cash from their own pockets but the cards won't go through.
New guy comes up and says he'll use his credit card, card won't go through.
CC machines are down everyone has to use cash.
Head cashier finally breaks down and take cash from the register to refund me 11.76.
She is in tears - her register will be short and she will be written up.
PLEASE do not let this happen.
These customer oriented employees are the kind you want to keep.
Please do not let this woman get written up for solving the customers problem when no one else could.....

Good place for certain items fast in and out the employees will help you find anything they sell when your in a hurry and are nice to customers

Dollar general needs to either stop opening a million stores if they can't keep them staffed, or update the times they open to at some point we open call first ?.

This place is always closed when it shouldn’t be. I can say twice in this last week alone. Waste of time and gas. Save yourself a trip and go to the one on Arlington. Or any other one than this one. Seriously.
