The older lady cashier (in a wheelchair) was very nasty and rude. I live right around the corner and I have been patronizing Dave's for years and never had an experience like I did today !!!

Even though they have the best fried chicken around, bar none, it doesn't make up for the people skills lacking in their counter personnel (prepared foods). Certain people working behind the counter, simply put, are not ready for prime-time. You can stand in front of the counter for more than 10 minutes and not be acknowledged or helped. BTW, all the training in the world won't address a bad attitude or lack of customer service skills. I'm not sure sharing this post will change anything. My greatest hope is that people know how good the fried chicken and fish are. Shrug off the bad attitudes as a lack of home and professional training, being angry at the world, or simply low self-esteem. Just don't let them impact you. Enjoy the food. The food deserves 4 stars.

The local Dave's in my area (Exchange St. Akron) has a particularly rude staff at the hot food counter. I've been told that I can't make a 25 piece chicken order because all of her chicken is on order for the whole day? When I asked if I could walk in to get 25 prices o was told "No. I have no chicken for my case it's all ordered for the whole day". Wow This isn't the first time I e had a bad experience at this location. I quite often want large orders for get together and because the chicken is good, grinned and bared being spoken to rudely. bared with being

Lured of sale item which ended up not on stock and after several in store items marked for sale weren't...ie a pack of generic 8 sliced "bar s" lunchmeat over 10.00!At checkout joking with lady if she wanted to be bothered checking me out to lighten noticeable frown...she replied loudly and roughly-"I don't want to be bothered with anyone!!".While shopping the butcher's constantly kept follow counting items in my buggy....wow!I was EXTREMELY TAKEN ABACK BY UTTERLY GROSS FILTHY ? RESTROOM IN A FACILITY SELLING FOOD ITEMS...WHILE INSIDE ?AN APPARENT MANAGER ASKED IF ANYONE WAS INSIDE WOMENS...I STATED NO ONE WOULD WANT TO BE FOR SURE AS IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DEPLORABLE!!!!!!!

Hey Yelpers, I looked this store for one main reason. Their cherries are delicious!!!!!! The cashiers are pretty sweet, too! However, a manager rudely spoke to a cashier making many people in the store uncomfortable and wanting to encourage her. Even when we are upset we should handle others carefully outside of the atmosphere of the customers. His attitude definitely affected the ambiance. It was nice to see everything clean as well. I don't think I've ever come here and seen rotten fruit or an area really dirty. It's definitely worth a visit coming here - the fresh, delicious fruit, clean ambiance and kind cashiers will make your visit so worth it!

Called the store to find out about a product..put me on hold, never came back. Called back and now you not answering the phone.. already don't shop here cause if your prices but your customer service is even worse.
