My step brother Emmett went there. He loved it but, as per his usual, actually him gettingScheduled to early for his ride he missed a lot. They always even called to make sure of why he missed or was late but continued to schedule early because he never speaks up. Hopefully 3rd time is the charm. Staff was always caring even with keeping me abreast of his situations( w his written permission).

I like Dr Ghirdar. He is professional and helpful. He really listens to my medical concerns and has great bedside manner. I always refer people to Dr. Ghirdar whenever possible. I know that due to the pandemic every doctors office is busier and many places are short staffed due to this. So I understand that the phone lines are busier than normal and I am sympathetic and more patient for this. I will never change doctors while I live in Akron until I have no choice, such as if Dr. Ghirdar retires or moved to another location out of state or something. He's very thorough. If he doesn't know something he is smart enough to refer you to someone who does. That makes an excellent doctor. The staff are always respectful and kind. I have never encountered any issues. They answer the patient portal emails within 24 hours. I love being able to use email or telecommunications to get in touch with my doctor or his nurse and know they will be very useful and give me proper resources. Sometimes even doctors don't have the answers and it is so good to know I don't have an overly confident PCP. when they don't have the answer they don't pretend. They offer to call you back later when they can come up with the proper answer. They run tests that are relevant. No time wasting and I never have to wait long to see my doctor in office or over the phone. 10/10 care and feel confident in Dr Ghirdar!!

Dr. Ghirdar is awesome! I was grateful that I could receive medical treatment from Access Point when I had no insurance and no money. However, I to a few other branches of AP and I would wait hours despite arriving early for my appointment, only to have a doctor spend 5 minutes or less with me. Dr. Ghirdar will spend as much time as it takes to treat you medically. More importantly, he spends as much time as it takes to treat you as a person and address all your concerns. His nurses and even the after hours emergency on call staff are amazing. This is why I choose to see him now that I have insurance and other options. Thank you to everyone at AP in PP!

As a long-time patient I am sorry to give a 1 star rating. I like the Girdhar and the staff is just fine. The one star rating is due to their phone tree. It is awful. No one answers the phone, I'm put in long queues and more often than not I'm unable to even leave a message. I get bounced around the system. It's infuriating. This is true to make appointments, get lab results, or talk to staff about an upcoming tele medicine appointment.EDIT: Since the posting of this review, the situation has gotten worse. I changed physicians. It was unfortunate but necessary.

Your office staff operates on the premise that patients are the adversary. Your phone tree is colossally rude and inflated. Your care-givers are great. They are compassionate and know what they are doing. You need to change the attitude in your offices, however. You need actual human beings to answer your phones. Your office staff need to respect themselves and us. They don't. Patients are an inconvenience as far as they are concerned. If they say, "not so", it doesn't matter, because that is the clear impression I get from almost all of them, and the phone system just proves the underlying attitude of administration.

Pharmacy upstairs provides great service, as a student at Akron U, I find the clinic convenient for getting annual checkups, and treatments. Initially went to see Dr. for some counseling and to help with treating my ADD, which is documented in the University. Unfortunately, though my sessions were great, I still felt I needed to get my uncontrolled symptoms with medications. A different Dr. who saw me was a Psychologist, perfectly able to help with my treatment said to me in her office that adults do not have ADD, that it was only a childhood disease. I wasn't happy and shocked at her biased statement. I could not supplement my treatment and stopped using the couseling over time as I feel that talking was not helping with my disorder, I have friends for that. If you need couseling the place is great for it, but not if they need to rediagnose something you have, they may not accommodate you.

Would give a 0 if I could. Poorly explained diagnosis. Never told me I had to follow up for more blood work after I started meds. Took over a week to refill a very important prescription, told me to go to my pharmacy and ask for an emergency supply (they only give you 3 days worth). I will never go back to this office again.

I went here a wow back for counseling and at first it seem like a good place and people was nice. But after a wow things changed from that point and the counselor that I had start taking sides with other people she wasn't as professional as I thought. Then one time I was there for my appointment they told me I didn't have no appointment and they didn't see me in the computer. So I was very upset had to turn around and go back home. I know I had a appointment they told me the date and day and time it was for. So I wouldn't recommend going here for counseling. This isn't a good place at all.

I can't even put 1 star, but in order to publish this, I had to. My adult child died due to the social worker's lies regarding treatment. The social worker was rude to my daughter and rude to me. (I guess we were a bother to her) I had a valid case against them, but couldn't sue because of cost. PP hides behind their big fancy Akron law firm. They are so adept at fighting off law suits, I'm quite sure a huge part of their budget goes for legal services!! They wouldn't even discuss my daughter's case because my ATTORNEY requested her chart. (And that point I had nothing to sue over!) It wasn't until I saw my daughter's chart that I knew the truth. I was so devastated, I couldn't even contact the Ohio Nurses' Assoc or Social Workers Assoc to lodge a complaint. It has taken me over 4 years to even write this. DO NOT EVER use PP if you can help it. Beg, borrow or steal $ for private treatment instead. Even the ombudsman is associated with PP. All mental health org. in Summit are part of a consortium. They have each other's backs. There is truly no one in this county that can represent the patient.

Didn't help, thought I was just there to get a doctor's note. Referred me to Akron General. Waste of an hour as far as I'm concerned.
