I worked there in 1961-62 and part time in 1960. Was a ball turner. Turned footballs right side out. 100 balls in a box. Took me 45 minutes and I made about $2.35/hour. My dad Bob was the plant supervisor for nearly 50 years.

If you're breathing you're probably familiar with this brand, I know I grew up playing sports and although I can't remember for certain I'm confident I've owned multiple Wilson products over the years (basketballs, footballs, tennis balls and rackets, baseballs, soccer balls and the list goes on) so naturally I considered Wilson when I recently purchased a new basketball thinking I was buying a good ole made in America product- well they still exist but they are no longer American owned and are part of Anta Sports Products Limited a Chinese owned company, although Wilson started out in the late 1800's producing products that generations of us have played with they sold out but the brand in name lives on.I made my latest purchase through Amazon and it appears it shipped from one of several Wilson US based distribution centers. I was happy to see the basketball came inflated and looks to be of good quality but was disappointed that it was just tossed in a cardboard box without any official Wilson packaging or label so hopefully it's not a knockoff but it bounces and my intent is not competitive play but just to keep active so I feel it will serve that purpose...

More than once I have mailed footballs to Wilson's Ada factory that needed new bladders and laces. For $15 the replaced everything and shipped Priority Mail back to Florida. What a great company.

Great factory home of the NFL football! They give group tour's on Wednesdays they have to be pre scheduled.
