Stayed last year and recently, reluctantly returned.
Black mold in bar - disgusting
Hot tub feels dirty - pool was nice
Resort has a small gym that did the job
Rooms are very damp - air unit impossible to deal with.
Rude management - kind front desk staff - lack luster restaurant experience but loved Meghan our server.
Grounds are beautiful - sporting equipment for kids/ tennis court/ but skip the mini golf as it’s rotten covered in litter.
Staff smoke in public areas - classy.
I will say the boat tours and staff that handles kayaks/bikes were wonderful on both visits.

Great place to stay!
Rooms were large and spacious. Bathrooms could use some upgrades but overall a clean room.
Great views and lots of activities on site. A nice location for families.
Food at the restaurant was fantastic!
Rooms: Slightly dated but clean rooms with lots of space.
Food and drinks: Great food, nice atmosphere, good service. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful vacation at this resort…it is spotless, the staff go over and above to help…especially Lucenida{Lucy}…she helped out at the front desk, then served us our supper at the restaurant..the meal was 10 out of 10…it was the Halibut special…we will definitely be back…

I enjoy this resort, however if you have limited mobility it can be challenging.
Safety: Very safe
Walkability: Lots of steep hills but cool areas to walk

Noteworthy details: Great views of the bay awesome comfortable room and the food was delicious. Don’t hesitate to spend your hard earned money at this place. Great staff friendly and knowledgeable about what to see and what not to see. 5/5 stars . We will be back

Rooms were very spacious. The property was amazing. There is so much to do with an in door and outdoor pool the swimming never ends. We also did the Oak Island boat tour, and it was amazing.

I came here with the family for the powwow. This resort is tucked away in a small town. The friendliness is also just as small town. The people at the front desk, the gentleman who helped me in the restaurant, the maintenance man who brought me a cot. Service is top notch. The nautical decor suits the area and looks bright and fresh. There's an indoor and outdoor pool. There's also a sauna and hot tub (outdoor). There's a restaurant also with reservations recommended. The lounge area was cozy and had live entertainment. Several outdoor activities. Also, the view is amazing. You will not be disappointed with Oak Island Resort.

We had our wedding here on the 31 of Saturday and the service was phenomenal and seamless. For the things we didn’t even ask they provided such as a bunch of lawn chairs for our bbq pre wedding. Food was on point and had a variety of desserts. At the end the employees even helped to take down the decore

Our family had the best time at this beautiful resort! I highly recommend it as a destination for families and families with pets, as the resort is super pet-friendly. We rented one of the chalets, and the view blew me away, as did the cleanliness of the chalet and the thoughtfulness of the amenities inside. The kitchen had everything needed, including a Nespresso coffee maker and pods. Outside was a BBQ, a fire pit with wood, a picnic table, and Adirondack chairs. There are tons to do all over the resort, and they have something for everyone. We used the indoor and outdoor pools, the hot tub, basketball court, mini put, tennis court, and trails. We also took out the stand-up paddle boards and the kayaks. We also took a Salty Dog Sea Tour with Tony, which was fun, informative, and entertaining. The resort staff was friendly and helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. Our stay here was the highlight of our summer, and I can not recommend this place enough!

WHAT A VIEW. Hotel room was nice until I realized how stained the rug was and how much mildew was in the shower. Great view from the room. Lunch and dinner were great very nice people. Bed was good. Water pressure was horrible. Outside dining was amazing

We loved our stay at Oak Island Resort. The room was spacious and comfortable, the grounds are beautiful, and the food and entertainment in the lounge was excellent. Scott was our server in the lounge and he was really friendly and prompt. We will definitely be back.
