An absolutely beautiful, sandy beach. There are walking trails and amazing views of the coast and ocean. We were lucky enough to see some plovers who nest in the dunes on the beach. You need to be careful and stay off the dunes as they are protected. Dogs are allowed and they need to be leashed. There are signs to watch for ticks also. The drive to the beach is a very nice drive.
Toilets: Restrooms are avaliable
Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed and must be leashed. Ticks are present so check for them when you leave.
Picnic area: There are picnic tables close to the parking area.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited! Extremely worth the 15 minutes off the highway. We began our trek on the Cabot trail here and it was a great start to our trip! We went mid week and the beach had a few families but was pretty much empty and was big enough to find a quiet spot even if there were more people. This is definitely a spot I’ll be visiting again!Dog-friendliness: Dogs must be on a leash but the beach was almost empty when we went so we were able to find a secluded spot for our guy to have a swim!

Amazing beach. Wasn’t to busy even when the parking lot was full. Water was very warm and views are breath taking. So worth the drive from North Sydney.

Enjoyed the beach at West Mabou – dramatic green hillsides and steep cliffs – long beach for walking, ample parking. Water surprisingly warm for nice swimming.
