WHOA! This was the happiest accident and stopping here made my day so much brighter. I was in search of something board game related and a bit niche and not generally stocked at many game stores, but since I was in the neighbourhood, I thought I'd check out this place. I admit, I didn't have a bar to begin with - just a very open mind. What I walked in to? The most magical place with more candy for the eyes than I could take in during just one visit. Clearly, I will need to go back!Jay was an incredible light on a dismal day. And the shop filled with goodies just the icing on the cake. I picked up a game I had been wanting, a few stickers, and a couple of incredible books. The store itself is very welcoming & friendly, but it's the tender care around ensuring a space that is inclusive and safe for some of the most vulnerable folks, living and loving in the margins that really had my heart.I've told anyone who will listen how THIS is a store that will get my dollars, and if you are a human who believes in the safety, protection, belonging, joy, representation, and celebration of vulnerable and marginalized populations, you, too, should shower this sweet space with your support.

This place is a fun collection of nerdy and awesome stuff, with a super friendly human at the counter. It’s got loads of things that would make great gifts as well. I’ve mainly popped in to pick up MTG boosters but there’s always lots to look at! Glad you’re there ??

My son and I love this store and the owner, Jay. I really can't say enough nice things about the store. Amazing selection and great prices. One of my favorite stores of all time.Update requested by google: If I could give a higher rating then 5 stars I would. This store has something for everyone. Jay and Blair are amazing. If you haven't been you are missing out.

Went there as a treat for myself for finishing the school year, I walked in and the owner was really nice and it was my first time, though now I realized I missed the game room because I got nervous, nothing about the store its just who I am for some reason when I am really excited I just get nervous. (Will definitely look at it next time I go though)I bought some DnD stuff and a pride pin!

Stand-offish or aloof comic book owners are so common they're almost obligatory at this point and I've experienced my fair share, so being greeted by friendly and courteous folk like I am every time I come to Cape and Cowl is unbelievably refreshing. They may not always have what I'm looking for (I'm from out of town so I'm always a bit too late to the party), but they make every effort to accommodate, all while supporting local artists through the art on their walls and the books on their shelves. Always a lovely time visiting this place. ❤️

Jay (the owner) is an amazing person who goes out of his way to help his community on a daily basis. The shop is well stocked, has a safe and quiet area for people that can get overwhelmed by sensory input (like my son and I).There’s also home delivery depending on where you are.Amazing shop. I can’t praise it any higher because it deserves infinite praise.

As someone with disabilities I have never once felt othered and in fact, have felt wholeheartedly supported by Jay, Blaire, and the Cape & Cowl community. Because I am in a wheelchair, I don’t often get to go into the physical store, but they are super kind and accommodating to my needs in terms of online shopping, answering questions and offering suggestions via social, and have even have helped me out with local delivery in the past. Their kindness and inclusion frequently make me want to find reasons to review, recommend and shop at Cape and Cowl. Not to mention how much they give back! Brava! ❤️✨
