Canadian Tire in Lower Sackville—what a shame! Prices are decent, products are good, BUT they gave up on allowing dogs in the store. BIG MISTAKE! Other Canadian Tire locations get it, but not this one. They’re turning away man’s best friend, folks! SAD! Time to get back on track and allow the dogs back in!

Been going here for years with no issues until today ... Purchased a code reader because it was the last day for the sale an hour after purchase I came across a way better one on marketplace so I purchased it and went to return this unopened unused one I bought the day before... Was told by the girl at customer service " oh this is tricky" then says they need to call automotive to check it out , not an issue he shows up to customer service looks at the box of the code reader points his finger at the sticker that says if product is opened or used item cannot be refunded or returned and wiggles his head back and forth and looks at me says nothing at all??? Silence for a moment then says it's been used and starts to walk away .. i said item was never opened the box wasn't even touched he takes the box back to the automotive counter with another worker proceeds to open the box and take out the code reader and then opens another box and pulls out another new one from its packaging and is looking at them and fiddling around for about 10 mins then walks back over and points at the clear lens protector over the screen and says see used .. package clearly states if product is opened will not be refunded but the worker opened another on off the shelf to compare the one I returned?? So the one I purchased and never opened could of been opened previously by the workers as they so clearly did today with me and then try to tell me I opened it this is rediculious the workers are opening packages that state they cannot be opened and putting them back in the box on the shelf then blaming customers telling them they are lying ... After arguing this point for a few moments he goes to see a manager then comes back and says exchange only and walks away , I then ask exchange only ? You mean store credit he very rudely says " no credit exchange only " why would I want an exchange on a product I don't need , then I start getting frustrated because his communication skills are not present at all, the manager comes out and says yes a store credit is what he meant lol. Automotive worker clearly lacking communication and customer service skills this is actually unbelievable because I have never had any issues at this store in years but I will definitely not be returning to this store again

The store is run down and crowded. I had to go get pictures of items outside so I could pay. There should be a list with sku so the cashier can look it up instead of sending customer outside. Every year I find the store is getting more & more expensive and quality is going down hill. I don’t even use my credit card because the interest rates are absolutely out of control.
So sad such a Canadian Icon is turning out to be an eye sore!

I booked appointment for smoke test. And I call again to confirm if they have smoke test. And they said yes.
I drove for 30 min. And when I arrived they told me they don’t have it.

Just discovered the "find item" feature in their app when using the "in store" mode. Allows you to flash a light in the aisle to make finding items easier. Friendly staff.

Update Don,t Bother Calling Automotive Desk Guy keeps coming on the Phone to say Hold after 20 Minute I Hung Up, Manager does a great Job unfortunately not all the staff follow his lead
