Almost every negative review is about one staff person in particular...that should say it all.
Rude and condescending, especially to customers that don't know exactly what they're looking for or are not well informed on the 20 different spider-man series Marvel has to offer..
Pretty much the comic book store experience that most "outsiders" would expect.

A big selection, lots of cool paraphernalia and super knowledgeable staff. I personally have a hard time navigating the layout of what goes where and usually have to ask for help, but this is my go to comic shop

Probably the best comic book store I’ve ever been to. With every city I go to, I try to find a comic book store, and without a doubt, every single time I find myself thinking “this is not nearly as cool as Strange Adventures”. There is so much selection, from action figures, to decor, to comics- everything from years past to the current and future. It really is an incredible store, Halifax is extremely lucky to have something like this.

Rude, condescending, immature and unwelcoming staff. This sentiment is backed by other reviewers, and the staff’s unprofessional, brashly defensive responses to said criticism. I’m not entirely sure why this guy is so antagonistic and disrespectful towards potential customers. It’s a shame, really. If not for the prickish staff making customers feel like a nuisance, the store would surely have an amazing reputation. Unfortunately for them though, there’s far better places buy comics in the Maritimes, and the staff’s behaviour is what solidifies that. To anyone in the HRM looking for a great alternative, try Monster Comic Lounge, Giant Robot, and Cape and Cowl!

Stay away from this place.
If you are in a cruise ship, wait for your next stop.

We are regular customers, and we buy books from them. The young guy at the cashier is super friendly and helpful. However, we were shopping there a couple weeks ago on a Sunday, and just before leaving the shop, we were looking at the freebies at the exit when the other person working there, whom we had not met anytime before, said in an angry tone to “keep the door closed”. We did close the door but we still wondering why he said that in such an angry way. We are afraid to return to the shop for the fear of being mistreated again…

For a store that seems to be big on acceptance and diversity, they were pretty quick to not allow me to use a government issued native status card.
They lost a about $110 on a sale.
I guess inclusion doesn't involve indigenous people.
