I walked in the store today, there were 3 employees working, no one looked at me, nor did they greet me. Infant when I looked and smiled at them none of the employees smiled back at me. They were very rude.

I was excited to find this place on a recent visit to Halifax, and went home with a new pair of sandals. When I got home and went to take them out of the box I noticed a large chip out of the heel. I contacted the company with photos and was told I could bring them in for a refund. Great, except I live nearly an hour from Halifax and would have to make a special trip in within their short 10 day return policy. They did not offer an easier option for return of the damaged shoes, did not have any more of my size in stock or offer to order them, would not offer a discount on the damaged pair, did not even suggest a similar style to replace them, and did not take responsibility just blamed it on the supplier and said 'it's not customary for us to sell damaged footwear'. It just ended up being a big inconvenience of me making a roundtrip to Halifax to get my money back for a pair of damaged shoes. I would expect better commitment to quality and customer satisfaction for a $160 pair of sandals. Ended up ordering the same style for cheaper from a different company.

i bought a pair of winter boots and a pair of dressy boots at this store last week. i am very picky and I really like nice quality footwear and I found the selection to be wonderful. the sales person made my experience terrific - he seemed genuinely excited for me to have the boots I selected. he was super helpful with suggesting colour pallets for my dressy boots. product quality, selection and customer service were all fantastic here. I highly recommend this shoe store.

John David's is the best shoe store...wide variety and styles...on trend. The service throughout the years has been remarkable...Vincent Michael and the rest of the staff couldn't be more professional and caring. Cannot go wrong shopping here..
