“This is my absolute favourite spot in all of Halifax! If you like the vibe, the interesting things in store are always a treat to find, especially with the “goblin scoops” I got last time, which was a really fun experience! I love this spot, always have, and find the staff really nice and knowledgeable on what they’re selling. You can really tell they like what they do, and honestly, I would too! I could spend hours in this store, just LOOKING at the beautiful things, and it’s one of my must-dos every time I come to Halifax!”

“I've been to Henry's a few times and I always find the people working are SO helpful and so informative! Tonight I went in looking for some help and Fia gave me so much information and answered all my questions; I was so appreciative that they took the time to help me! Thank you!”

“NHL, NFL, NBA, Pokemon, Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, you name it they've got it! Plus they have a location for hosting tournaments/events.The entrance looks like a prison on an industrial slave planet, but don't let that scare you away, the inside is nice and friendly and the owner is super nice and helpful”

“Staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. There aren't too many model kit-oriented stores in HRM, so you really don't have a lot of choices locally, but the prices generally make up for what you would have to pay in shipping fees if you were to shop online, let alone the wait time. Also, it's not recommended to order paints online during winter season because of freezing temperatures that can ruin the paint during transit if not kept warm, so again, this is the best way to acquire this type of product.I do appreciate their online order and delivery/pickup system, but after I had ordered and purchased one very important item on their website, they sold it to another customer before they had the chance to even process the order, so I'll have to dock a point on that incident. The variety in supplies is alright, but stock is not always up to par. However, they do have what I need, most of the time.Unfortunately, the Gundam model kits they have on the shelf are ancient, covered in dust (at least when I visited) and overpriced compared to online retailers.Having said that, this is still my go-to when I need paints, sprays, or other modeling tools that are hard to find.”

“Dropped in to pick up a couple plastic models for grandkids starting out in the hobby. Owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are fair and really nice variety of models and toys. Will definitely return for more great items.”

“It's games workshop, you come in and right off the bat you'll probably notice it was a block buster in the old days. Now it's a wonderfully decorated hobby shop where you can buy, paint, and play all while having endless conversations with the staff, I've been going to this store since I was a small lad back when warhammer fantasy was big. Fond memories here.”

“I was given a very heavy painting from friends. It needed wiring and hanging gear. The staff was very helpful, they added the necessary items to hang the picture successfully and it only cost me $11.00. As a senior that was impressive and affordable.”

“An alright craft store, it seems most everything is over priced. A basic big white pot $150 meanwhile Homesense down the road has similar for $39. They had buy one get one free on most items, seems the prices may be increased on alot of items to counteract that offer.”

“Popped into Strange Adventures while on vacation in Halifax and it was honestly a highlight of the trip! The proprietor was so kind and helpful. The shop was small but very well-stocked with comics old and new, graphic novels, figurines, board games, card games, and other diverse novelty and fan items.I was delighted to find two out of print Star Trek card game decks for a very reasonable price! I also left with an interesting book on female superheroes through history. Two stories of note about the proprietor: when my friend asked if they sold pens and he told her they didn’t he proceeded to go into the back and simply give her a Doctor Strange pen! And then as we were leaving an interesting book caught our eye, and he told us to take it for no charge! He said it wasn’t something people were usually looking for in his shop and just wanted it to go to a good home.I would definitely recommend Strange Adventures and if I ever find myself in Halifax again I will be returning!”
