“Great convenience store with in Store butcher and very friendly staff next to subway, the liquor store and a dollar like store with enough parking most of the times.”
“I absolutely love this store! The staff is incredibly nice, and they have a wide range of products. Whatever you're looking for, you can find it here. The store is also very clean and organized, making it my favorite shopping destination.”
“Best Grocery Store Experience in the World, Staff are Excellent, Warm and Welcoming. Found some childhood favourites and the taste of home brought Me Joy. Thank You gigs, don’t hesitate to visit guys. Top Tier Experience Always….”
“I come here specifically for staples like eggs, apples, carrots, beets, and bread. The staff are friendly and helpful and I would much rather support a smaller company than Sobeys or Superstore.”
“A great family run place with such a wide variety! the store is filled with an incredible selection of died noodles, rice, frozen & refrigerated products, sauces, dry ingredients, and so much more. I spent a lot of time just looking at the shelves of rice noodles because of how many different options there are.The folks (i assume the owners) who work there are very kind.”

More than I can fit in the photo...!Absolutely wonderful produce, and reasonably priced. What a great service. They taste wonderful. Incredibly fresh.I love that I can order produce online. This market is so handy, tons of parking out front, and easy to get to. I am going to freeze these wonderful tomatoes. No more canned tomatoes for this house.”
“I was just eating the el gallo cilantro dip from here and thinking that if I were to be given a last meal someday there are few flavours that could let me go out happier.”
“Great little spot! Has a ton of great products— cheap spices and bulk dried beans and grains— and the owner Patricia is amazing! A very active part of the community and very helpful. I highly recommend this spot!”

590 Portland St, Dartmouth“I absolutely love this place (M&Ms) and have been eating food from here for as long as I can remember. The store is very clean and bright with a well laid out system and employees who are super friendly and extremely helpful. I can't say enough about the female and male (possibly partners?) who work here as they're really nice decent down to earth type folk that you enjoy spending a little time with in the store, like a friend. The food here is good too. A little bit expensive but the quality and taste is very good. Chicken strips, mozzarella sticks and butterfly shrimp are just a few of my favorites. If youre looking for a large quantity of frozen foods whether for a meal or a snack, youll definitely find something here. I highly recommend the food and customer service at this store as its been nothing but top notch for me. Sign up for free to become an M&M insider and get special offers that aren't offered to regular customers.”

114 Woodlawn Rd Unit 135, Dartmouth“For some time we had been struggling to find fishes of Indian origin in Halifax. But since we came across Bay of Bengal, our challenge stands resolved. Rohu, Hilsa and other fishes originating from Bengal region are available here throughout the year.I will share an experience: they mistakenly had packed 2 different fish varieties i.e. Rohu and Hilsa, into same packet and on realizing their mistake, they gave us a fresh Hilsa without us even asking for it. This proves that the owners are committed to quality and satisfaction. Love the place.”
“The Grainery is a small non for profit food co-op. It operates solely on volunteers and carries many staples like oats, flour, rice, lentils, chickpeas, etc. They also carry things like dried fruit, nuts, eggs, tofu, and peanut butter. Most of their products are organic.Similar to the tare shop, you can bring your own container (or take one of the many free used containers that have been donated) to store whatever you’re buying to reduce packaging waste. They only take cash, e transfer, or debit.I volunteered for the Grainery (and did lots of shopping as well) and had a lovely experience. Everyone I volunteered with was so friendly and there’s a nice sense of community. I highly recommend trying out the fancy granola and the dried mangoes - these were my favourite snacks and both were very reasonably priced!”

“We love this store, they always respect their schedule, coincidentally the store is always open when we have needed to buy, it is worth walking 3 blocks to them. This store has been our lifesaver when we ran out of food at home because the store always has eggs and milk. Thank you for your great customer service”
“More expensive then the other local grocery stores, but their meat is definitely better quality. They also have a nice natural section if you like eat/use natural products.Update Feb 2024: They finally installed self checkouts!! I love this. But also why did it take so long?!”
“The closest (so I guess my local) Sobeys. Have been going here for 4+ years. Seems like a typical example of the franchise. Layout makes sense and never takes long to find anything. Obviously busy at peak times but has never been so bad that it is impossible to navigate. Appears clean and have never noted spills or messes that were not being taken care of quickly. Stock is always organized and never just left out in general areas. Typically there is not staff on the floor if looking for help but are are easy enough to find and usually have a pleasant disposition. Usually enough cashiers open so that the lines are not too long and they appear to go at an average peace. At least one 15 items or less line and no self-checkout (can be good or bad depending on you perception). Usual parking situation (accessible spots at front) and store seems it would be easy enough to navigate if one had specific mobile needs. Also believe they have times booked for weekly sensory sensitive shopping but should call the location to confirm the day/time this occurs. Have gone in Sunday nights looking at the pre-made and bakery sections for reduced ("enjoy tonight") items and there is usually not lot of in this category (has been pasta selections available every time I have checked).”

506 Tower Rd, Halifax“The locally made (Scotsburn) ice-creams here are a must-have if you're visiting. I recommend the chocolate peanut butter one that made all attempts at being a resilient adult seem like a distant dream.Decently priced and right next to the scenic Point Pleasant Park, so going for a walk with it was very satisfying.”

1864 Albemarle St, Halifax“My wife fainted in the grocery store on Christmas Eve, thankfully all is well. The team were incredibly helpful and let us use their office space so my wife could be assessed and then generously offered what we had in our cart was on the house. Thank you guys, your generosity and kindness will never be forgotten.”
“Plenty of parking in the free parking lot. Brightly lit regardless of the time of the day and it's a very clean parking lot. Entrance is clearly visible and accessible to everyone regardless of mobility ability.
Inside the store was welcoming although somewhat crowded with the "specials" of the day, week, or month not wanting to be missed it is brightly lit which is hard on the eyes if like myself you're sensitive to light. Aisles are not the widest but are sufficient for 2 carts to pass. selection of products is vast as expected and sale items are clearly visible. The checkout process is fairly seamless with the usual time delay of waiting on line for your turn. Self check out is an option. Staff interaction was minimal albeit not an unpleasant experience. Smiles and friendliness abound on everyone's faces. Exiting was easy and plenty of room in the cart corrals for returning my cart with no visible wandering carts to be seen.”
