I love this store! They go above and beyond to get you the books you want to read! They always have a wide variety of books in stock, seemingly specializing in age rang from birth to young adult. They have a wide selection of parenting and educational books. What they don't have they are always willing to order in! Their collection of mind stimulating games and puzzles are of the highest quality. The friendly, knowledgeable staff are dedicated to their clients. Best bookstore in Nova Scotia!

I adore this store. The owner is absolutely wonderful - just a gem. You can tell her the age of the child you are shopping for and some books they have enjoyed and within minutes she will have suggested a half dozen wonderful books. Her staff are similarly great. I just love coming in to choose books for my children, nieces and nephews. I can spend hours in this treasure of a store.

Knowledgeable staff who are always ready to assist. Wonderful selection of books for children of all ages and a good selection of French books. Lots of quality and educational toys. I often buy gifts for a new baby at Tattletale’s.I’ve shopped here since they opened in Penhorn Mall decades ago!

Anne and her team at Tattletales have been my go to people for my own children and my students. The store is always so fun to visit thanks to such kind, knowledgeable staff, we always leave with some new book, toy or puzzle. But we also feel great supporting local. Can’t say enough good things about this store.

Love this bookstore! They are always really helpful with helping me find what I am looking for. Example - when my son was starting daycare they helped me find a couple books connected to that transition. A few times they have also ordered in books for me that I couldn’t find elsewhere. A really valuable store to have in our Dartmouth community!

When we go to Tattletales, it feels like a wonderful small bookstore experience except they have a huge selection. One where the staff know the books, make recommendations based on my 8 year old daughter’s faves.. it’s more than just a book store, and I highly recommend it as a nice afternoon outing. It has increased her love of reading and that is everything!

The best children’s and Y/A bookstore in the Maritimes. The absolute best store for teachers. They will order in the professional books that you need plus if possible will give you a teacher discount. Staff is very knowledgeable. We love them here at @teaching.by.the.sea

Tattletales is a wonderfully inviting, local bookstore! Anne and her staff are always welcoming and more than happy to help you find what you need. As an at-home tutor, I was looking for decodables for my students. Anne was very helpful in locating all three sets and they were in my hands within a few days. It's a great place to look for unique gift ideas for the grandchildren, as well!
