“I’ve been shopping at Union Foodmart for 2 years. They have an amazing selection of food products plus cook equipment and other items to serve and consume your meal. The staff are absolutely lovely and eager to help you find whatever you need or answer your questions. Shopping here is always a fun learning experience.”

“I absolutely love this place (M&Ms) and have been eating food from here for as long as I can remember. The store is very clean and bright with a well laid out system and employees who are super friendly and extremely helpful. I can't say enough about the female and male (possibly partners?) who work here as they're really nice decent down to earth type folk that you enjoy spending a little time with in the store, like a friend. The food here is good too. A little bit expensive but the quality and taste is very good. Chicken strips, mozzarella sticks and butterfly shrimp are just a few of my favorites. If youre looking for a large quantity of frozen foods whether for a meal or a snack, youll definitely find something here. I highly recommend the food and customer service at this store as its been nothing but top notch for me. “A very interesting place. In addition to simple food products, you can also find various interesting souvenirs here. Plus the place itself seems to be quite small overall, but there are different points of interest: Theatre, Liquor store, Wellness Centre, Library, Tim Hortons and restaurant. And of course, there is a ferry terminal near the place too. Probably objectively it should have been 4, but I really liked this place and its compactness, so to speak, without unnecessary huge empty spaces, so I’ll give it a subjective 5 based on my internal feelings.”

“Bay of Bengal Grocery Store is a great spot if you're looking for Desi/Bengali fish especially Rohu, Hilsa, Catla etc. It was our first visit, quite impressed with the variety and taste was also good. However, when it comes to other grocery items, the price was not clearly marked and found little extra compared to other grocery stores. But if fish is what you're after, this place is definitely worth a visit”

“Sobeys Penhorn, located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is a great option for grocery shopping.

I was impressed by the wide selection of fresh items, including fruits, vegetables, and meats, as well as the variety of international products and local specialties available.

The bakery and fish sections stood out for their exceptional quality and freshness, which added to the overall experience.

The store is well-organized, making it easy to find what you need, and the staff were very helpful and polite, always ready to assist.”

“It's not a big store but has a decent variety of vegan foods and ethnic assortment. Like everywhere a lot of food is waayyy overpriced. Still sometimes you find good deals on fruits in season and some sales. I suppose they are doing the best they can and probably the buyers vote with their money. So if most people go for the unhealthy stuff, that's what drives the supply.
Sadly all grocery stores have a long way to go to match even the average grocery store in Toronto. What's most upsetting is that here in Halifax you can hardly find local produce. Most is from Ontario and such.”

“Plenty of parking in the free parking lot. Brightly lit regardless of the time of the day and it's a very clean parking lot. Entrance is clearly visible and accessible to everyone regardless of mobility ability.
Inside the store was welcoming although somewhat crowded with the "specials" of the day, week, or month not wanting to be missed it is brightly lit which is hard on the eyes if like myself you're sensitive to light. Aisles are not the widest but are sufficient for 2 carts to pass. selection of products is vast as expected and sale items are clearly visible. The checkout process is fairly seamless with the usual time delay of waiting on line for your turn. Self check out is an option. Staff interaction was minimal albeit not an unpleasant experience. Smiles and friendliness abound on everyone's faces. Exiting was easy and plenty of room in the cart corrals for returning my cart with no visible wandering carts to be seen.”

“Joan in the self-checkout section helped my family out of a stressful situation today. I was not anticipating our checkout terminal to lock up half way through scanning our groceries. She was very collected and ready to help. I cannot say enough good about her presence in the store. Thank you Joan!”
