As soon as we walked in we were greeted by very friendly staff. Everyone throughout the entire process was very helpful and kind/checked in to see if we needed help. They had a good selection of bears and accessories and we were offered upgrades but they weren’t pushy at all. Great little spot to build a bear.

Walked in today and the employees looked like they hated their life, no body greeted us but just stood there looking so sad. It made the vibe of the store uncomfortable

At 28 I finally got my first Build A Bear. One employee in specific was absolutely outstanding at her job. Kayleigh (hope I'm spelling it right) was amazing. She was non judgemental, friendly, and made this such a great experience. I first went into the store to ask a few general questions and she definitely convinced me it wasn't childish or stupid to want to get my own bear.I ordered a giant axolotl online, and had it sent unstuffed. When my partner and I went in to get him stuffed, we were happily surprised to see Kayleigh again. She remembered us and was just as excited as we were. She even asked if we wanted to stuff him ourselves, so we could get the entire experience. (We opted to go get food instead because it takes 25 minutes to stuff a large bear).When we came back she had him all stuffed at the counter and she let us know she didn't close him up in case we wanted to add a heart. My partner and I both got to do the official heart ceremony and she let us print off a birth certificate with all the details. She was so nice and non judgemental, she definitely made us feel welcome and the fact that she treated us like any other excited child meant a lot.We really appreciate the effort she put into making our experience whole, and just her over all demeanor and attitude was refreshing. I guarantee if you get Kayleigh to build you a bear you won't be disappointed ?Thank you Kayleigh!

When i was there with my girlfriend it was really special day for me than this lady was not leaving us alone then i got to know she is the manager and she was so annoying and forceful then she started talking about her korean boyfriend. Man she was so annoying ruined my whole day. I understand its her job but there is a limit She was so forceful??

Yesterday, I took my 5-year-old daughter to celebrate her birthday. Unfortunately, our experience at the establishment was less than satisfactory. We were surprised to find that we were charged for three sound bites despite receiving only two, and to add to the frustration, the pricing for these sound bites was not made clear to us before the point of sale. Consequently, the total cost for two bears amounted to an astonishing $80. By the time we realized the cost at the checkout, we already felt compelled to proceed with the purchase as our children had grown fond of their chosen bears. I believe it is crucial to have transparency regarding what is included, the associated costs, and what to expect, a lesson we won't forget. As a result of this disappointing encounter, we have no plans to return in the near future.

Took my nephew here for the first time, hoping that I would be able to give him the “magical” and “fun” experience. Everything went well until it was time to stuff my nephew’s bear. The lady working, Bhumi (wears glasses), was extremely rude and didn’t even try. She was monotone, rude and was not showing any enthusiasm at all. I was told she was feeling sick when I complained to her co-workers, but that does not give her the right to ruin a child’s day. Very dissapointed and unacceptable behaviour.

I took my 5 year old and we had the best time. He was in love with the whole experience. He picked out a doggy, and the lady the was stuffing it for him was so incredibly sweet. She had him hold the little heart and think of all the wonderful things they'd do together, and rub it on his arms for all the hugs and on his head, I forget all of it but goodness my heart melted the whole time.So many adorable accessories to go with their new friend, my son loves that kind of thing so he had a great time walking around picking out pajamas and a brush and whatnot.There was more, highly recommend for kids that like stuffies. We paid just over $100 for the dog and accessories, but you definitely don't need to spend that much. Wonderful staff, we went on a Saturday evening.

I come to this location whenever I’m down in Halifax I have since I was a kid, I’ve always had a positive experience here. The other day when I was down I picked out a My Melody bear and went over to stuff her. I’m almost an adult so I don’t normally do the heart ceremony but the staff member, Kayleigh, did a heart ceremony with me that was probably better than any I’ve ever done. She incorporated my hobbies into it as well as making it feel like I was a kid again. I always have a positive experience when I come down and that made my trip. I plan on coming down with my partner sometime to make some together. Thank you Kayleigh for an amazing experience!

I came to Build-A-Bear in Mic Mac mall, thinking I’d get a magical experience like we see in those videos, however the experience I had was horrible. The lady was working there is extremely rude, they made fun of us while recording our voice to put in the bear. They were very disrespectful about It, made me have such a bad day, and left for very disappointed. If I could go for days talking about that lady and how disrespectful,rude and mean she was I wouldn’t get enough. I highly don’t recommend going. Overpriced for nothing.

Absolutely the worst experience I had in Mic Mac mall. The lady with the glasses that works there is EXTREMELY disrespectful, IVE bought a bear from a different location in Canada and the experience I had was very good, but this time I feel very disappointed. I really hope she gets fired from her job. Ridiculous………..
