Plenty of parking in the free parking lot. Brightly lit regardless of the time of the day and it's a very clean parking lot. Entrance is clearly visible and accessible to everyone regardless of mobility ability.
Inside the store was welcoming although somewhat crowded with the "specials" of the day, week, or month not wanting to be missed it is brightly lit which is hard on the eyes if like myself you're sensitive to light. Aisles are not the widest but are sufficient for 2 carts to pass. selection of products is vast as expected and sale items are clearly visible. The checkout process is fairly seamless with the usual time delay of waiting on line for your turn. Self check out is an option. Staff interaction was minimal albeit not an unpleasant experience. Smiles and friendliness abound on everyone's faces. Exiting was easy and plenty of room in the cart corrals for returning my cart with no visible wandering carts to be seen.

Today I witnessed something at the Braemar superstore I had actually never seen before. I actually didn’t know how to react. I was at self checkouts trying to ring my order through & I hear a customer say to the self serve attendant, I am sorry my phone died and there is issues with Scotia bank, I am going to have to come back, the young attendant Oliva ( I will never forget her name) said that’s ok just let me pay for them for you! she proceeded to take out her phone and ring the products back in (there were a few items I recognized as being pricey) I would say $100 easy, she simply paid for the persons order no questions asked. Bravo to Oliva!! There is a part two to this story, while she was busy trying to square away this customer there were two other rather cranky and entitled customers squawking at her that they have been waiting a long time for help and she went to the man first and the women said wait I was here first and longer.. insert here, I too was waiting because my items wouldn't scan, this young girl kept her cool & professional manner the whole time. Once Oliva was done with the two customers who were complaining, I quietly and calmly inserted myself into their transactions and said " you know while you two were complaining about the wait and lack of service from this girl, she wad over there ringing in that customers order and paying for it out of her own pocket because the customer can"t, the look on their face was exactly what i hoped for ( shame and embarrassment for unnecessary bad behavour)
So to the parents of Oliva well done, you Oliva have earned a star ⭐️ in my books for being a wonderful human.
So to the other customers take a lesson from her!
If you know Oliva or go to Braemar superstore, tell her she is awesome, she no doubt worked her shift for free today!

Have NEVER had a good experience here! Shelves improperly stocked, sections closed etc during renos was somewhat understandable. However, its very much the same now with renos complete. I couldn't get all my groceries today as shelves remain empty, yet stock sits in aisles waiting to be unpacked. This month's markdown specials also were NOT available.Other customers and myself noticed our phones have no connectivity of any kind while in this location. Making apps like PC Optimum and Flashfood unusable. Calling family, cabs etc is also impossible in this store. Cashier staff maybe under trained as well. I witnessed a "discussion" between 2 employees regarding proper placement of the handheld scanner. (I was served when they finished talking). I doubt it automatically scans items on the conveyor belt when placed to close to them as other Loblaw stores have their scanners attached to the conveyor near the debt machine. Lastly, I was unable to pay for my purchase using debt today as my card was declined. There was enough money in my account but ended up paying with a credit card. Another customer in line commented that this location only seems to take cash or credit as they have seen debit card issues here previously.

The produce is almost never good anymore. Plus I feel like I’m in a jail with all the plexiglass surrounding me. Another Canadian Monopoly slowly starting to crumble.
