“Don't let the description "Farm Supply Store" fool you. It's much more than that. They carry popular brand name slipers and boots, as well as bird food and feeders, clothing, and work wear. Oh, and don't forget to get your locally grown apples also. This store is an experience to just browse, guarantee you will find something you never knew you needed!”
“Really like the new layout and the building got a much needed retrofit after the fire that really improved the look of the place. The layout takes some getting used to but all in all its an improvement”

“Great selection of products, and fresh produce, no complaints on what the store has for a selection to purchase, however, the cashier was not friendly, even though I was overly pleasant. She offered no "you're welcomes", "have a good evening, as well" , "thanks for coming" .. nothing, besides asking for my scene card sounding extremely annoyed at even needing to say this, as she continued on a conversation with a fellow employee. I was not at all pleased with the customer interaction she provided this evening.”
“Don't even bother with the other reviews complaining about price. It's about 10-20% more expensive than Costco. If any of the other reviewers could do grade 7 math, they would see that paying the additional premium is still cheaper than driving 90km to Halifax and back.
The selection is top notch. They bring in all the most popular stuff like chicken pot pies. $14 instead of $12 at Costco, if you think that's "too expensive" you are financially illiterate.”
“One of the most amazing health food stores I've ever been in ~ jam packed with incredible products ranging from food to body and home items, with so many locally made goodies from small businesses/artists/creators, it just feels so wonderful to support a local business like this one. Also, special shout out to Travis Hare who was beyond helpful + incredibly generous with the info he's picked up working there, and recommended a product to help with sleep that has been working better than anything else I've tried and helping SO much! Thank you Travis, you're the best!!I can't recommend this store enough!”
“I appreciate Carl's Independent in Wolfville so much. Everyone who works there is super friendly and helpful and clearly very hardworking. They carry an excellent selection of products given how small the store is. It's easy to zip in and grab a few things quickly but it also supports my household shopping needs. On a few occasions they've been able to start carrying new products that I've requested and I think that's pretty cool as I'm not sure it would have happened at the bigger stores.”
“The customer service experience, the different menu options, as well as convenience are all Top Notch and I would definitely give them five stars in those category. The only reason why I would give them four stars overall is because of the price. It really isn't cheap. And you do pay a premium for pretty much everything but you pay a premium and you get exceptionally good quality. That's the thing, the old expression you get what you pay for is very true when you buy anything hereSome of the options that they do offer, it is a little difficult to actually make a decision on what to order. You see, they will have for example lasagna. Why you might initially assume that all lasagnas are made the same that's not true in the slightest. The regular lasagna in my opinion is a much more inferior product than their supremas on you which is a much much better product. The price difference between them makes it kind of a no-brainer to get the more expensive and better product than it does to get the cheaper one. There are a lot of other times where some of their cheaper products are obviously the best value but a lot of the time, they're more expensive product which is marginally more expensive is actually the much better option”

“This is the go-to place for wall-banger prices on quality meats- especially chicken. Top quality and excellent prices. The staff here is amazing as well, friendly and helpful and always with a smile. A small parking lot at the north end of the store is augmented by a large parking area directly across the street, also premium parking on the street store-side at a hit-or-miss . Sam's also has a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as regular grocery staples. This is definitely a place to be checked out !”
