“It was in the early '70's, 1971-72. I moved to Souris, not knowing anyone. I was 21 yo and on my own for the first time in my life. What an adventure! I was so fortunate to have this gas station just a stones-throw from where I lived.Their service was prompt and efficient. Everyone was friendly. Inside was clean,I must admit that since I lived so close,I didn't use the bathroom facilities, so I'm sorry I can't address that. As I woman, that is an important feature (I know!).Everyone was pleasant and friendly and ALWAYS gave me sound advice about my vehicle, not to 'drum up more business'. I admired them for that.AND they got a huge approval from my father, who was 600 miles away.I hope the business has maintained that 'welcome stranger' attitude.”
