Encountering the immense Holstein cow is truly remarkable, especially considering its visibility from a considerable distance. This makes for an engaging and enjoyable stop, with convenient parking located adjacent to Sue. Accessing the cow for photographs involves traversing a gravel path, adding a bit of adventure to the experience. Overall, it's a lighthearted and entertaining detour worth considering.

A giant cow that's definitely worth a quick visit. Salem Sue is a beauty. I'm glad the local folks have taken great care of her. She is well maintained and the ground is clean.

What's not to love about a giant cow that watches over I-94?

We always like to stop by here on our road trips for a little break from the road.Once you drive up the cow path, there is a walking path up to Sue. I believe this is a dirt path, so it might not be accessible to all cow lovers.Road is a bit narrow and parking lot at the top is a bit small, so I wouldn't want to bring an RV up there.Regular cars and trucks shouldn't be too much of a problem. They are trying to raise money for a paint job, donations are at the bottom of the hill on the way in.

That’s one big cow! Definitely one of the fun parts of this road trip! I’d recommend Salem Sue to ANYBODY! And their kids, and their mom’s and their in laws.

An awesome place to stretch your legs. You can see this sculpture from afar on interstate-94. Seeing it up close is a fascinating experience. I can imagine how beautiful the sunset would be with such a unique company. Note that it is a mile drive on rough road to get to the cow. Don't forget to leave a donation such that this beautiful structure will be there for future generations to enjoy too!

Fun and out in the middle of nowhere. it's an easy drive from Bismarck. You just drive up the hill and park your car and just walk up a fairly easy path to visit Salem Sue. This is a free, but there is a donation box at the entrance. Drop in a dollar so they can keep up the maintenance on the cow. If you get the and no one is around, it's very peaceful. The 360 degree view from up on the hill is stunning.

It's a short ride up a gravel road to the base of this roadside attraction. At 38' tall and 50' long, Salem Sue is considered to be the largest Holstein Cow and weighs approx. 12,000 lbs. While admissions are free, donations are graciously accepted at the bottom in a designated collection bin, which are used exclusively for the maintenance and upkeep of the statue.

Good place to stretch your legs at if you need somewhere to stop for a bit. There are picnic tables to eat at. This cow is also up a pretty steep and bumpy dirt road so make sure you have a car that can handle it.
