Salem Sue is a popular roadside attraction featuring a giant cow on top of a hill, offering beautiful views and a good place to take a break from the interstate. It is easy to find because it is well lit and visible from miles away, and it is open 24/7, making it accessible at any time. The attraction is well maintained and has a donation box to support its upkeep. Visitors enjoy it as a great spot to stretch their legs, take photos with the giant Holstein, and enjoy the scenic views from up high. There are picnic tables on the hill where families can relax and have a snack. However, the parking lot is small and not suitable for RVs or towing vehicles, and there are no warning signs about this. Parking can be tricky due to others not parking properly, which might cause difficulty turning around. The sidewalk up to Salem Sue is steep and may not be suitable for everyone. Overall, it is a unique and enjoyable stop for those looking for a quick, memorable photo opportunity.
This is a really great roadside attraction. Yes its just a giant cow on top of a hill, but its a beautiful view, a good break from the interstate and a great alternative if you don't have time to do the Enchanted Highway.
