I don't find myself over here often, as I don't typically shop at the attached Marketplace. I happened to be a block away and needed burger fixings, and since you can't really grill without an adult beverage, we hit up Marketplace Liquor. First things first, guests are not required to wear masks, but staff are. Still a good 75% of consumers were masked up. The things is, the cashier was wearing her mask on her chin, with her mouth and nose exposed. At this point, half of you may roll your eyes, which is fine... I'm about to step it up a bit... while she was friendly and helpful, offering to assist us with finding what we were looking for, she was also wiping her face on her sleeve and had a hacking cough that I could almost feel in my own chest. This gal was sick. Really sick. Shouldn't have been at work sick. We watched bug-eyed as she licked her fingers to prep them for bag opening. The guy behind put his stuff down and left, while we looked for hidden cameras. Selection was decent & prices slightly below my usual - staff very helpful, tho also unsanitary

The highlight of this liquor store is Belinda. If you are super lucky, you’ll get to have you ring up your booze with her mask wrapped securely around her lower-chin/neck area. The way she wipes her nose before addressing the next customer in line shows me that marketplace definitely prioritizes my health and safety above all.

Good selection, although smaller than the one on 20th and Broadway. Prices are higher than cashwise but it's more convenient if you live on the north side of town. It's always clean and I've never seen it crowded or low on stock.
