The service department claims my Whirlpool washing machine is "working as intended" even though it used to fill up all the way on "Deep Water Wash", for the first 8 months I had it, but for the past 4 months it doesn't even fill up half way. I've been battling their service department for the past 4 months. After receiving an insulting note from their service tech today, I called to complain. The service manager, yelled at me, said I was wrong/lying, that it never filled up more then it is now, told me to have a "nice fucking day", and hung up on me. I could go on and on about this company and it's all very bad. So now I'm stuck with a washer that has manufacture warranty but doesn't work. The manufacturer (Whirlpool) won't do anything more because Karl's called them and said the washer is "working as intended". I was told that any additional service requests would be paid by me out of pocket and of course they aren't going to go back on the position they have taken that the washer works. Please, do not waste your money or time dealing with such an unprofessional company. You will be sorry! This was not my first miserable experience with them. I also have family members who have similar experiences as mine. I should have learned my lesson years ago but I was desperate for a washer a year ago in February when mine (that was also from them) quit, and they were the only ones in town with a washer in stock. It was going to be months for them to come look at the one that was not working so I just bought another one. Lesson officially learned!

The service department IS NOT GOOD! So- my washer stopped spinning and since I had purchased at Karl's I call to schedule a service call. The less than pleasant service scheduler said it would be ~ 2 weeks and I was " lucky at that because it was a cancellation otherwise it would be after Christmas. " He gets here, $130 up front to "diagnose" the issue. He said I needed a new transmission. Mind you in the parts manual there are no parts labeled transmission. He estimated $250-300. The same terse lady called me back and said she would need that 1/2 payment up front. 7-10 working days to get part in, then who know how long until service appointment availability to put it in. I then said I would look elsewhere. I called another service repair company here in Minot I had used previously very happily ( again initially called Karls because I bought washer there.) He came : said it was a coupler. Told me that it a common service problem and because he sees it so often he had the part in his truck. So no wait for a part, no return service call, no transmission. So a $25 coupler VS almost $500 for I'm not sure what? I Called and talked to the same crabby lady and she said, " I apologized, I will speak to technician, what else do you want me to do?"1- Refund my service call to diagnose since he didn't.2- Be sure the tech have the skill and knowledge to figure it out.3- Lose the attitude and treat the customer with respect.BUYER BEWARE & SHAME ON KARL'S FOR TRYING TO OVERCHARGE ME AND NOT EVEN ASHAMED OF DOING IT!!!

Purchased a washing machine. Paperwork is as processed. Was told model we bought and paid for was not available. Chose another model. Wrong washer was delivered. Was later told we owed $100 more. Sounds like a scam.

Don't be roped in my there promise of "Service". Our GE refrigerator is only 3 months old and the handle and the screw that holds it pulled out of the door when my wife opened it to make supper. How cheap must this GE appliance must be made that the handle comes right out of the refrigerator wall when a petite little woman opens the door. Karl's service woman said she had to check on if it was cover under the warranty because it may have been "abused"??? Excuse me, opening a door could be abusing the appliance? We didn't buy the fridge to look at it. I suggested that Karl's might do the right thing and send someone over to glue it BUT Karl's service woman thought that taking care of a recent customer was crazy! What is crazy is them calling their repair department a service department.

Where to begin… our appliance was promised on a certain date; didn’t happen. When it was delivered, it was damaged. When we got the new one, they damaged our trim and installed it improperly. We had to use someone else to install our appliance. There are good people who work at Karl’s, I will say that. However, a certain salesperson was horribly rude, blamed us for their incompetence, and then tried to blame a company who was not even affiliated with our problem. I will never shop at Karl’s again and I will advise others to not as well.
