I have rented from other Hertz locations and had no issues. However, if I could give this location a zero I would. Brent refused to rent a car to me bc he said I needed to show proof I worked for my locums company. I offered an email from my company and my drivers license which matched what he had in his system but he still stated he needed to call his boss which did not answer. After I asked him to call someone else he raised his voice and told me I will show him respect. When I called him out on being rude and unprofessional. He then said my mouth is moving and it needed to be shut. He continued to yell and be ugly with me. Now I emailed the manager of this location thinking she would be appalled at her employees actions but no Landa actually blamed my company for the issue with the rental.
Luckily I was able to get a car from National with no issues. So do your self a favor and rent from National, Enterprise, or Alamo at the Minot Airport they take pride in taking care of their customers.

We have rented through multiple vehicle rental vendors over the past few years, but my experience at this particular Hertz location in Minot, North Dakota, has compelled me to advise others to consider alternative options such as AVIS or Enterprise. The manager, Landa, exhibited a level of unprofessionalism and dishonesty that was deeply concerning. On several occasions, both in my own interactions and those witnessed involving other customers, she responded with undue aggression and shouting, which is unacceptable in a customer service setting.
Specifically, Landa displayed a quick temper and an irrational approach to customer queries. Issues such as unauthorized charges and unclear communication were met with hostility rather than helpfulness. For instance, I was threatened with having the rental car reported as stolen due to a supposed non-payment, despite my bank records showing otherwise. This situation escalated to the point where multiple excessive charges were attempted on my account, ultimately leading to this location’s merchant ID being flagged for suspected fraudulent activity due to the repeated transaction failures.
Such experiences highlight significant operational and customer service issues at this location. I would strongly recommend against entrusting personal payment information to this establishment and suggest considering more reputable alternatives when renting a vehicle in ND. This Hertz or any of the other Hertz are all operated under the same company. I had a great experience when renting at the Hertz in Williston, but for a company to allow a person such as Landa to continue to treat customers the way she does, causes great concerns to me.
Absolutely do NOT trust this location with your card info.

Renter beware. This is a franchise that operates differently than most Hertz. They will not verbally disclose possible fees and then bury the details in the fine print on the contract. If you have a dispute, you're out of luck. Because it's a franchise, corporate Hertz can't help you. Do yourself a favor and rent from Enterprise.

I had car reserved from 24 July to 25 July . I went to national to pick the car and also to put my corporate number in, which I wasn't able to when I booked. I found out instead of one way my car needs to be returned back to the same location. Then I asked the front desk lady to extend my reservation so I can drive back the car. She refused to do so and told me she has right to refuse service. She said she is afraid that I will not return the car back. She is not going to give me the car I booked just because she thinks I will not return back. Have I done it before no. Just because she think: Now I am thinking why does she think that way is it because I look different or it's just situation.I asked her for her name she said she doesn't need to give me her name. I asked for corporate number one which she replied you can get online. I asked for supervisor, she said they don't have one. And I can call corporate and complain.

I wish I could make it zero starsThis may not be a great comparison as I have never rented before but in my opinion this was definitely the single most horrible car rental experience.The employees were either unprofessional and downright rude or ignorant.I had one question on their rates and despite repeating the question multiple times I never received a straight answer.When I turned the car back into a different employee I was treated with a nasty attitude. Would never recommend this company to my worst enemy. Be warned!

Car was not clean, soda exploded under front seat when the temp dropped. front fender falling off, unsafe shaking in the back end of the car. I informed the "manager" and she dismissed the concerns and sent the car back out the next day. No one at the desk from 10am until after 12 when the flight left so could not even address in person. Beware, this is NOT a corporate location and corporate office cannot assist with issues...this is Independently owned.

Called the airport number for hertz 15 min before i was supposed to pick up my rental .. no answer .. showed up and waited another 20 no ones was there … hour later still no answer or No one here an hour after my rental starts

Terrible vehicle conditions; unsafe for the roads to be honest. Car was filled with dirt; trash; and even water INSIDE the vehicle upon receipt. Returned it on time; yet they tried to charge an extra hour for my rental. Upon showing my Travelocity email confirming the time; charge was reversed the next day. DO NOT rent with them; no care for the safety of their renters; that’s a scary thought.
