We just received our ECS pup. He immediately knows how to retrieve and attends to his owner. This is a great credit to the breeding of a gun dog.

Tom is a perfectionist in his breeding methods. I have two of his English Cockers and I simply cannot say enough about the dogs, but I will try. Attentive, intelligent, agile, healthy, committed, dedicated, interesting, funny, playful, energetic, controllable, loyal, friendly, entertaining, committed, tough, skilled hunters, enthusiastic retrievers, lovers of water..............

We LOVE our “started” dog from Tom. When we made the drive from CO we were hopeful the dog we were getting was trained to a point where we could pick up where Tom left off. When we arrive he showed us how Margo could already heel, quarter, and respond to most hunting commands and even retrieve birds and bumpers at 9 months! The last 4 months we’ve gotten so many compliments on how well trained and disciplined (and BEAUTIFUL) she is. While we put in a lot of work ourselves, we definitely owe some sanity to Tom and the work he did to get her ready for hunting and getting her socialized. Tom was also super friendly and helpful! When we’re ready for another we will definitely go to Tom for another “started” English cocker.

Rude and unprofessional

I find Tom to be extremely discourteous and unprofessional. He wants top dollar for his dogs but refuses to show pedigree; that is the craziest thing I have ever seen. Please spend your hard earned money else where.

I have a ECS out of Tom’s breeding. I’ve had hunting dogs all my life. My 5 yr old Cocker has been the easiest and most intelligent pup I’ve ever had. You can’t go wrong with Tom’s breeding.

Tom is a great guy. Down to earth and one hell of a dog trainer. He's got my chocolate lab and is doing a great job with him. His kennels are vary clean and his staff and him are very welcoming. I won't go anywhere else as long as he's training dogs.

Over the years Tom has trained three Labs for me and has my fourth in training right now. I’ve been around lots of hunters and lots of dogs and when it came time for me to get another pup I only made one phone call prior to making the trip back to North Dakota with my pup in his crate. Tom is a “Hall of Famer” in every sense of the term and the performance of my Labs over the years prove it. I can’t say enough about my respect and admiration for Tom as a trainer and a friend.

I have been lucky enough over the years to have purchased four trained dogs from Tom, two cockers and two springers. I still have and am hunting three of these dogs (the fourth has died). Each dog was exactly as described by Tom. Each was wonderfully trained, so much so that I have not been able to ruin them - yet.

This man is extremely rude and unprofessional. He is also prejudice against specific dog breeds- no reputable dog trainer would discriminate the way he does and should be able to work with a wide range of dog breeds. Don't waste your time.
