This company offers the worst customer service possible! Ordered a Husqvarna Lawn Aerator that arrived in good condition minus the weights that are to accompany the unit. Contacted Customer Service for months. Excuses were plentiful, but needless to say, no weights (really? Not an inexpensive piece of equipment and the weights can't cost more than $200). Their answer...we are waiting on Husqvarna and haven't heard back yet. OK, 3 months later, they admit they are not going to find the weights (you would think just go out and grab a set from another unit, maybe?) and they want me to ship the whole unit back to them and refund my money. Not my first choice, but OK. I pack it up and ship it back to them. They receive it and tell me they cannot refund my card as the "bank" is refusing the credit. I call the Credit Card company who tells me ACME need only contact them directly as a Merchant to facilitate the refund. ACME says, "We don't do that." Needless to say, the last thing ACME should call it is Customer Service. Buy your equipment where someone is willing to help you post-purchase if there is a problem with your order!

I just placed and received my 2nd order online and my experience has been great. The prices are good, the shipping is fast, and the items are packed well. I live in New Jersey and would rather buy from a family owned business than a huge faceless online retailer. I will look to them for future tool and storage needs.

I recently spent $2,400 on a MBW compactor. It leaked the oil immediately. Acme wants us to deal with the maker and leave them out of it. The maker is suggesting it will take weeks to correct. Acme is aloof about the situation. I've bought plenty from Acme and this is my first time needing to deal with them on an issue. It's an expensive lesson. Shop local.

Ordered parallel clamps through Walmart; the order was several days late in arriving (not Acme Tools fault) and when the boxes finally did arrive they were badly damaged with clamps protruding out the sides. I refused the delivery and expected my refund to be processed promptly. i contacted both Walmart and Acme Tools directly to advise that the clamps had arrived damaged and that delivery had been refused. I was told by Ashley P at Acme Tools that they would assess the clamps after they were returned to them and process the return afterwards. I felt that I should have the refund processed more promptly but it was clear that Acme Tools does not view customer service the way Amazon does so I was just stuck waiting. Then I get an email from FedEx saying that they were once again going to deliver the clamps. I contacted Ashley P. directly and she responded that it was just a routine thing and FedEx would not be delivering to me again but that they were being returned to Acme Tools. A couple days later I notice the FedEx truck leaving my house and indeed they had left the clamps at my front door, the damaged areas having been heavily taped! I grabbed the package and caught up with the FedEx truck and gave the clamps to the driver, insisting that he get them returned to the sender. At this point weeks had gone by since the original order, and the FedEx tracking number showed delivered. Multiple contacts with Ashley P. at Acme provided the exact same response, i.e. "we'll process the return when it arrives". Ashley P. was of no help whatsoever, showing no interest in helping me with this situation. Another week or so went by, my contacts with FedEx were useless, but I got in touch with someone at Walmart who investigated the shipping and found that the package was now listed as "lost in transit". Fortunately Walmart quickly processed my refund. I would still be waiting for the refund if I had relied on Acme tools and their incompetent spokesperson, Ashley P. There are a lot of ways to buy tools and for me Acme Tools will NOT be one of them.

HUGE selection of tools, with great service. Although the store didn't have what I was looking for, they happily provided contact information (address, phone number) of a vendor that was able help.

Came back to add to my 5 stars. Recently brought in a chainsaw, they fixed the carb, worked great. Not long later, it was into its same slump. Brought it back, they redid the carbs, added a spark plug, and charged me nothing. I didn't ask for it to be free, nor was I mad in any way. That is solid customer service right there.

Had my info stolen, they went here to clear out my account. Bank helped me get the money back, however my email was still getting promo ads from this site. I've called and told them to remove me, I've used the "unsubscribe" option on every freaking email you guys bombard me with. Each time I've called it's been a "oh no that's not how it's supposed to work, we'll fix that"The first time I called was over a year ago. I'll remove this review when you guys finally figure out how to unsubscribe those who click that option.

Apparently there's no way to review the online store itself, but since it likes to sport that it has such a high rating on google, I figured I should find some way to actually review what is probably the most ridiculous sales experience of my life.After placing an order, the screen loaded back up to the same place order screen i was already on, without generating an order or confirmation # or anything, but I did get a notification that I was fully charged for my order. so, not knowing what was up, i contacted support, when they proceeded to tell me that if i didn't get a confirmation soon, to just go ahead and replace the order - even though they'd already charged me. After about a half an hour of going back i was left with the option of just replacing the order and taking the word of their support person that, if they end up having two orders, they'll be sure to cancel one for me, so i don't get double charged. However, after seeing their reviews from the Better Business Bureau, it's quite clear that they have a massive issue when it comes to cancelling orders and blaming customers for the issue. First time I've ever encountered a business that charges customers without a transaction number, which can be tracked according to who placed it and for what. seems a bit questionable.
