That’s why I've purchased my last two cars from Gateway Service Center. Last October, I bought a 2013 Chevy Equinox. Shortly after, I discovered the car needed a new engine. Gateway met me more than halfway on the cost and did the work at their service center. Now, I couldn't be happier with the purchase.
More recently, I bought a 2017 Ford Transit Connect, only to find it had a very unusual set of locking lug nuts, and the key was missing. It cost me approximately $1,000 to have the lugs removed so I could replace the tires. I had that work done by Kyle's Custom Repairs in Grand Forks because the locking lug nuts required welding and special attention. When I explained the situation to Sean Thompson, Andy McDonnell, and Ryan Payson at Gateway, they were each helpful in making me whole for the expense of the lug nut removal by authorizing repairs that were roughly equal in cost for brake work that was required.
Would I have been happier if there hadn't been an issue with the missing lug nut key to begin with? Yes. But the bigger point is that the issue was resolved. That's why I will continue to go to Gateway with confidence, knowing that if something is missed during the sale, I won’t be left holding the bag afterward.”
