Friendly employees willing to explain things. They checked the car thoroughly without being asked but didn’t pressure me to fix every last thing. The price seemed reasonable and they did a lot of work in just 24 hours.

Once upon a time I was a 20 year old woman bringing my car to college for the first time, worried about my dad being 4 hours away if it broke down. Flash forward: I'm 25, graduated, married, bought a house, with the same car. What stayed the same? United Automotive coming in clutch every time I needed them. The first time I had to bring my car in for an oil change, I almost cried because I was so worried about being guilted into unnecessary maintenance. I decided to bring it to United because it was close to me - a decision that would change my life forever. I had experience with auto shops attempting to milk me for all I was worth (which was literally nothing) for things like battery replacement, lightbulbs, etc because I went in alone, as a young woman, knowing jack about car repairs. I hated it. United took my car, had the oil changed in less than 12 hours, charged me $35, and APOLOGIZED for the "long wait". On my receipt they quoted me prices for three items of maintenance that weren't necessary but I could get in the future if I wanted. The tech explained to me thoroughly all the items and said none of them were necessary, but I could always come back and get them done later if I wanted. And then checked me out. It took a grand total of 5 minutes. I sent the receipt to my dad and he said that was the cheapest oil change I would ever find. This would begin my history with United and my healing journey with car repairs. Along the way I would get regular oil changes, a replacement oil tank cap within 24 hrs, a couple issues my brain fabricated because I was nervous but still got checked out, brake pad replacement, and a few other things I can't remember. Each time I got an apology for the "long wait" (nothing was more than 24hrs), quotes for 3-5 long-term maintenance items to keep an eye on, and the most reasonable prices I would be able to find short of my dad doing it for me (this last part from my dad, who lives 4hrs away). If you don't take your car to United you're making a mistake. One million stars/5

I stopped in during a deadly windchill and it was also snowing because I couldn't get my window to go up. The guy at the front desk looked at me like I was sub human and was extremely rude and wouldn't help me. A older man went and looked with me but just told me that I was screwed and I'd have to rip my electrical board open. I drove home with it open and thankfully a kind neighbor was able to hold it with his palms while I pushed the button and it thankfully went up. I know I didn't have a appointment but it was -30 degrees and at the very least they could of given me some helpful advice. I would NEVER go here again.
