Petco
1126 43rd St SW, FargoI'd give it five stars in a heartbeat, to be sure, but I only get here once in a blue moon and I'm not sure if there are better prices to be had at big box stores, even if one is sacrificing quality for their prized pets.

Fargo Boarding & Grooming
4108 3rd Ave N, FargoWe left our sweet kitty, C.C., with these fine folks for two weeks, which was very hard for us. Our worries were put to rest though, as the staff were kind enough to send us an update, and C.C. was clean, happy, and seemingly stress-free upon our return! It's clear that they care a great deal for the pets in their care. :) Highly recommended!

Hoggarth Tracie DVM
3210 Main Ave, FargoWe had a kitten for about a week, she was young. One day she just started seizing and we weren't quite sure what was wrong. We called a few vets, looking for one that takes Care Credit and Valley Vet. did so we brought her there. We brought her in and unfortunately there was nothing they could do, poor kitty was to far along with whatever illness she had. They euthanized her for us with no charge. We also received a card from them several weeks later saying how sorry they felt and wished us well. Their emergency service is great, customer service is also great! We now have a dog and can not wait to bring her in for a check up!

Prairie Winds Veterinary Center
5370 51st Ave S, FargoWe are frequent flyers here, and have gotten to know many of the staff over the years. Although the entire team has been great to work with, we’ve been the most impressed with the rehab team - Kori, LVT, CCRVN, Dr. Lacey, and Dr. Alicia. They are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about vet med, and care for our dogs like they are their own. We’ve also seen Dr. Kaufman for urgent care visits and he’s was very patient with our energetic pup.

Valley Veterinary Hospital
3210 Main Ave, FargoMy very recent experience with Valley Vet was a 10/10. My lab became ill and I called first thing Monday morning and they were able to see her right away. After using information from the ER vet from over the weekend and their new imaging, Dr Haroldson diagnosed a stomach blockage. She was very thorough in her exam and possible outcomes and was able to get her in the for emergency surgery. Her assistant, Vicky, was a great help as well and took a lot of time explaining all the pertinent information from risks and what to expect from the procedure and with post op instructions. They followed up throughout the week to see how Annie was doing. Very good surgery and the outcome has been great. Without their expertise and thoroughness, the outcome could have easily been very different. Also, Brittany up front was very kind and pleasant to visit with. Thank you, Dr Haroldson and the rest of the Valley Vet crew!

Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center
4491 23rd Ave S, FargoFor all my fellow rabbit owners, this review is for you! Strap in because it’s a long one full of everything I wished I knew before bringing my bunny here. One of my bunnies took a turn for the worse on a Friday evening, conveniently right before the weekend when my vet is not available. I live almost four hours away from AERC. We do have an emergency vet, but none of the staff is good with rabbits. So, we said “screw it” and drove to Oakdale.Boy am I glad we did. It took about 4.5 hours from the time we arrived until I was able to leave for the night with an estimate and treatment plan in hand. My rabbit needed an x-ray and CT scan in order to find the root of the issue, which they don’t conduct in the evening, so he had to stay overnight. I decided to drive home because I had to work the next morning. They sent me photos and updates of him both that night and in the morning, and they called me before/after sedating him to keep me informed. They also made sure to approve any additional care before giving it. Originally, they were going to just do a CT scan in one area, but the specialist suggested adding another site because of a symptom she noticed that she found potentially concerning. That attention to my rabbit’s wellbeing actually makes me tear up just thinking about it as I type this out. When I couldn’t make the long drive back that same night, my bun was able to stay another night. I was sent more pictures and updates that evening and the next morning, and they made sure to provide him hay and pellets throughout his stay. After all tests were said and done, we went home with 2 different antibiotics and some pain meds. AERC also sent a culture to a lab to ensure that the antibiotics he’s on are the most effective to treat him. For every single thing they did or advised I do at home, they were able to explain exactly why they were recommending it and how it would help us. This may be an issue we have to treat for the rest of his life, but catching it early and starting treatment ASAP with the help of the lovely humans at AERC has given my bunny the best chance at surviving and thriving.Emergency veterinary care is expensive. For a consultation, two nights of hospitalization, a two-site CT scan, X-rays, three different prescriptions, a bag of critical care, and other miscellaneous costs, my total came out to be $4,654.05. This was right on par with the estimate we were given the first day. Yes, that’s a lot of money, but in our situation, he would’ve needed the CT scan and x-rays at some point in time anyway. ICU hospitalization only cost us $24/hour. Considering my options were to leave him there and pay that price, or spend $250+ on a hotel and lose income from missing my shift at work, this was extremely reasonable. Plus, with CareCredit’s promotional financing options, we’re able to defer interest payments on this cost for 6 months. The last time I brought a rabbit to our local animal hospital, the cost came out to be around $2,800 for one night of hospitalization and some x-rays.In conclusion…yes, you have to wait a while to be seen if your pet isn’t in immediate life-threatening danger, and yes, the bill can be pretty hefty. But the care provided by the staff of this place is above and beyond. Not only was every person there exceptionally kind to us, they were so patient and honest with every other person who came in the door. I even overheard an exchange between a staff member and a very distraught pet parent who was having a tough time waiting to hear news about their pet. The staff member offered several different solutions for this person, such as letting them wait in one of the smaller exam rooms instead of the lobby, and made sure to get them some water. Never once did the staff member lose their cool - they knew this pet parent was struggling, and they did everything in their power to make the wait easier.I hope we never have to come back here, but if we do, I know without a single doubt that my rabbits will be in the best hands possible at AERC. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Fetchers
3521 39th St S, FargoI boarded my five cats with Fetchers for over 3 weeks. They were amazing. They were polite, professional, friendly, and most importantly they treated my babies like their own. They were well fed, well treated, well loved, and had a great time. I was sent picture updates every 3 days with little messages regarding their stay and it was awesome. They even kept them for an extra night so I could arrange a proper pickup. I would recommend boarding your kitties with Fetchers if you’re concerned about leaving your kitties for a long period. I had to take this trip and I was so concerned for their safety and wellbeing but Fetchers made it easier to sleep at night knowing my kitties were well taken care of and loved. I would definitely recommend especially if you have multiple kitties. Thanks so much Fetchers!

748 50th St S, FargoWe used Happy at Home Pet Sitting quite a bit. We have since moved from Fargo, but wanted to write a review of how great this service is. Thaikota
1201 1st Ave N, FargoThis place is the truth! It's rare to find Khao Soi with tofu in the first place. And it came with all the fixings, and the curry was properly spicy with the chili that came on the side. I could drink the curry by itself and be happy! Spring rolls were also clearly freshly made and came with two seemingly homemade sauces, including an incredible herb pesto(?)-like sauce. Everyone inside was friendly and prices are incredibly fair. I will come here any time I'm in Fargo! Thank you!
