I enjoyed visiting Outermost Layer. It has a selection of name-brand clothing and accessories for outdoor activities, as well as some funny items and decor. There are also several locally-themed T-shirts.The staff was attentive and friendly, but the pace here is laid back without pressure. I found a very good deal on an accessory that was only one-quarter of the price charged at my local running shop.

Had a wonderful experience. A well curated store with employees as invested in finding quality gear as they are in providing just what you need. Had a great chat while there about Arc’teryx vs Rab and learned about a great new brand.

Very very attentive staff, every time I looked up, he was right there…slightly creepy and uncomfortable. Otherwise great store with lots to offer for outdoor recreation and little items to gift as well.

Best outfitter in Fargo. I’ve never encountered an employee here who doesn’t genuinely want to help. If I need anything related to being outdoors, this will always be my first stop.

This was the only place in Fargo where I could find the Pendleton scarf my wife wanted for Christmas. When I couldn’t find the style she liked, the person helping me was quick to offer ordering it in. They even got it just in time for the holiday and called when it arrived. I will probably be coming back for future gift purchases.

Great, curated selection of products, and they can order almost anything not on the shelf. The biggest reason to shop here is the service; I had a pair of boots with an issue, the staff handled contacting the company and provided me a replacement. The staff are friendly knowledgeable and helpful, which makes picking out new gear a lot easier.
