Hands down the worst company I've ever rented from. Incredibly unprofessional at every interaction. If you rent from them be sure to get a camera system because they absolutely will let themselves into your apartment whenever they want. The laundry room broke down the month we moved in, the lease is up and it is still broken down. They have "lost" our checks, just to charge us late fees, ask us to cancel the check then find the check and deposit it anyways and charge us again because a canceled check doesn't go through. They will do anything they can to add charges to your account and its despicable. Get a p.o. box because if something is left at your door it will not be there when you get home. And those are just a few of the issues we have had with this absolute trash company. The fact they are even allowed to operate is ridiculous.

Leasing office is nice and the Maintenance Man Brian, is extremely nice. I’m not too happy about the cleanliness of the apartment when I moved in. Looked like nobody came in and cleaned the apartment before I moved in. Finding strands of hair and food crumbs from previous residents. I know the buildings are old, but there’s basic things that needed to be fixed that weren’t when I moved in.

Very unhelpful, very disorganized, impossible to reach anyone at local offices without calling corporate first.

I recently received my water bill, which totaled $ 80. I was shocked and I went to the sunwood office yesterday to ask for an explanation on how they determined the costs of my water usage. Since there is no meter in my apartment that tells us how many gallons of water is used at any given month. the answer I got was a little funky. The explanation the lady at the office gave was that, they divided the water bill of the whole building by how many residents live in each apartment regardless of their water usage. If that is the case I live in a 2 bed-and-2-bathroom apartment with no laundry and my friend who lives two doors down with 3 beds/2 baths, kids and laundry got the same water bill. How does that make any sense? Or is that even legal?. I feel like the staff at the office is just making up a number and they bill it out to the resident. I am feed up with sunwood office staff, they are blood sucking, money hunger and no good to their residents. And I honest miss the old days when Megan was at the office. My family and I lived this apt since since 2014. For the last three year they have ups rent 3 times, and now with is ridiculous water bill. And not to mention for past 2yrs we were asking if they can repair one of the bathrooms that really needs floor tile repair. And no one will even bother to show up or fix.

With any apartment complex, you have issues come up each day. How management handles the situation says it all: Sage apt has a new office manager and so far we have been super impressed with how our situation was handled. Change can be good and so far this change is what was needed.

It's scary how a tenant can pay rent and then the management at parkplace sends a mail stating rent was wasn't paid . The level of distrust I have for the parkplace location is beyond me ,especially dealing with hanna wise .renting shouldn't be this traumatizing and difficult .renting from parkplace is an emotional prison sentence .errors that deal with rent payment should be carefully corrected ,it creates a mental torment .never have I ever encountered such problems

0/10 do not recommend. Courtyard in MN. I originally pick out a unit I went to view the unit 3 days before move in. I get there and ITS NOT READY! I was told to come back the next day n saw two other units similar layout my main focus was the walk in closet and dishwasher. So I picked from the two that had what I wanted. Day of move in I received a call and was told the unit I had picked had a pending application (while mines was already approved with the company) so I was put in a unit that courtyard employee picked out for me. I have proof of three different leases I have signed with three different unit numbers that is absurd. I was told I could move in a different unit next week because the one that was picked for me didn’t have a walk-in closet or dishwasher. Keep in mind I PAID FOR MOVERS ALREADY SO I HAD TO TAKE WHAT WAS THROWN AT ME THIS IS THE DAY OF MOVE IN ! A week later I ask for a month of credit for the inconvenience caused by courtyard I was told yes by Daniel than she called back and said Christine F said no! Like are u serious. All I get is an apology for this unorganized and unprofessional behavior. I don’t want a broken lease on my name but this is ridiculous. Every time I come “home” I’m unhappy n unpleased I have little closet space and it’s not updated !

We live in Dakota Manor. Goldmark/Timberland manages our complex. It's a great location, close to everything. Comes with a free garage. Our unit is older but in good, upkept condition. The level of service from Goldmark is what really makes a difference to my family. The maintenance manager Chris is incredible. He is very quick to get to any issue we've had. The few small things that have come up were all promptly addressed. He really cares about us tenants living here and goes the extra mile every time. The manager of our complex too, Tori, is very friendly & professional to work with always. It's surprising to me for the reasonable rent we pay that we have this level of service & attention. Would highly recommend Dakota Manor, Goldmark, Chris & Tori.

We LOVE living at West Lake! It's a bit older, which gives it a homey lived I feel. It's well maintained and the office staff are awesome, very friendly, and seem to care about their tenants! The maintenance staff are super easy to work with, very friendly, seem knowledgeable about their particular trade, and are quick with repairs. We truly love living here!!Only thing I would like to see: fix and update the gym. We would use it daily!!
