The Fargo station is small and the seats are not what you would call comfy. It does not open until midnight which is fine since both trains arrive anywhere from an hour 45 mins or more. The attendants are not the friendliest. There have been a couple times when there was no one working. Which was horrible because it means you cant check your bags. I was notified about not being able to check bags but it was only 5 hours before my departure. I suggest calling the station to see if checked baggage is offered before your trip. Do not call Amtrak..you have to call the station. I love traveling on Amtrak but you have to be flexible with your time and do your research. A lot of things are out of Amtrak's control. They have to deal with the freight trains. And they seem to never be on schedule and break down a lot. Most of the stewards I have encountered are friendly and work very hard to make the trip enjoyable. The food is better than any airline. If you have a long trip I suggest you spend the money and get a sleeper. Its comfortable, private and comes with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Amtrak is the only way I travel.

I was & am very disappointed to find out that the Fargo North Dakota Amtrak train station is not an open Un-maned facility where people can wait in the lobby off the street & be able to use a restroom! this is NOT what we were told by Amtrak when making the reservation at all!!! just so everyone is aware ..... the station @ the Fargo ND location does NOT OPEN ANY DOORS TILL MIDNIGHT !!!!! please make Amtrak officials aware of this so they don't give anyone else false information !!!! please waiting outside in the dark sucks!!!!!'

I would give it a zero, Minot to Fargo delay more than 5 hours and the toilet were closed, people were struggling. They just waste your all day. Poor public transportation ever. Multiple technical problems.

I have to say I was rather skeptical at first. But for $48 from Fargo to St Paul I have to say it was well worth it!! The train was on time, comfy seats with lots of room, quiet, clean, easy departure and arrival instructions, etc. I would prefer the train to flying ANY day!!

Road construction is in full swing . 13th east and west .I94 is a mess at peek travel time. Speed limits are down to 25 in place. Same goes for 13th Ave. Just watch 2-4 vehicles ahead of you.

The single WORST traveling experience I have ever had. I am currently waiting out an over 12 hour (and counting) delay. I live about an hour away from Fargo, so I got a hotel for the night and had a friend drop me off. It is now well past check out, and I am forced to wander Downtown Fargo and wait out this delay in the Public Library since the train station isn't even open. This is extremely frustrating, and I will never choose Amtrak again.

Decent sized air-conditioned waiting area with bathrooms. Staff are often absent if a train is delayed

A nice train station, old but well maintained. The bathroom was clean and smelled nice. Only two vending machines, Pop and snacks. The outdoor lighting needs much improvement very dark outside and since it don't open till 12am I would prefer to wait in a much brighter area.

This place has midnight to 730 open daily posted on the doors. They really close at 330 am.. i don't think the amtrak headquarters knows they're doing this.. there's also no way to complain about it..

How you gonna run 6 hours late, have one stop a day that you'll let people smoke at, charge 10$ for a slice of pizza, only except credit cards, this has to be the worst way to travel 100% never again, this is about amtrak in general not just this station
