Big variety and prices aren't too bad. Why is beer so damn high in this state/area?

Only two liquor stores in Dickinson had Dom Perignon 2013. Here and Cash Wise. Only difference is Cash Wise was $150 more expensive than Liquor Warehouse.Plus Cash Wise employees seemed pretty clueless.
