Their website had an issue processing my autopayment and is extremely out of date with its technology for a modern day bank. Their incompetent website caused nothing but issues and I’ve had to call many times with little to no help at all, this is the type of bank that will go out of their way to screw you over and do nothing to help. I would recommend anyone looking to use things bank, find a bank with a bit more credibility and knowledgeable employees.

My son has his student loans through BND, and I’m his co-signer. We had no issues until they stopped sending quarterly statements without notice. I called customer service to ask if there was an account change that switched us to paperless. They said no changes were made. They simply stopped sending statements and told me to use the website. I understand the move to paperless, but I’ve never known a company to do this without notice. We didn’t even get an email.

Just want to say a big thank you to this bank for letting the Philanthropist & hacktivist @ROYALBLADEWORKS render help clearing my daughter's medical loan debt which was at $114,899. This saved my family ! THANK YOU BOTH.

We secured a student loan for my daughter 4 years ago. They were awesome to deal with, and had the lowest fixed interest rate of all the avenues we researched. I see someone made a comment about them not supporting the federal student loan forgiveness program. That is a federal program and not intended for private loans. My other daughter has a private loan as well. It also is not supported. I have been more than pleased we chose this bank and I recommend it to all our Montana friends sending their kids to North Dakota for college.

I had foreign currency and for them to accept it I have to open a checking account with them and then I said I'd do that and the lady was still really rude about it and said they still wouldn't accept until I had an account with them for ninety days

I recently got married and my wife and I merged accounts. So, I went into the BND online portal and switched the account to auto withdrawal from my new account. The issue is, my account did not switch to the new one. So, the auto payment was connected to my old account. My payment there isn't much so, for me, it is a set it and forget it type of payment.60 days later, I get a notification from my credit report that I am not paying my BND loan. I call BND and they look at my account, seeing that I added the new bank account but I didn't do "something" so BND's system only attempted to pull money out of the old account.Well, I communicated with them and Joe, the head of customer relations, called me and said he was going to clear up the issue.I am very thankful and I believe that BDN actually listens to their customers. If you are doing the right thing, paying your bills and working with then, they will take care of you. You just have to communicate with them and do the right thing.I recommend BND to you!

UPDATE: Joe, head of customer service at BND reached out to me and resolved as much of my issues as he could. I very much appreciated the gesture, but still hope they change how their website works to make it easier to use!Took out 3 student loans through this bank. Paying back has been a nightmare unfortunately. Tried to setup automatic payments and got confirmation that they were done and now getting dinged for missed payments. The website is confusing to navigate and hard to use. On top of that, when my 6 month grace period for student loans ran out, my account had been "deleted" as they moved to a new computer system so I still owed money but could not pay. My credit took a huge hit due to "misses payments". I think with some website updates, most of my problems could have been avoided.

This review concerns their DEAL student loans. Initially, everything was okay until one day it wasn't. Unfortunately I had medical issues and couldn't work. The payments were due. I had a physician complete two of three "forgiveness" forms. They were sent to the Bank. The final form was signed by a Physician Assistant rather than a physician. It wasn't accepted. They wanted a large payment that I couldn't afford, and would not accept a smaller payment. I am now in default. I've never avoided them or try to hide my whereabouts. Now I must deal with a collection agency. Please go elsewhere for a student loan. Thank you.

Extremely passive aggressive business. Contributes to divisions within my family over my private student loans that I took out while j attended the Univrrsity of North Dakota when my financial aid ran out. Despite the fact its the middle of a pandemic and my grandfather died from covid they're contributing to my anxiety over finances although I'm showing good faith and continuing payments when I can. I'm advising every student to please think twice before ever working with this bank or you will regret it.

Jen was very helpful on the phone. She talked me through everything and made my situation of paying back my loans incredibly clear. She deserves 5 stars because she went above and beyond and walked me through the process step by step.

Today I called and spoke with Jen in the Student Loan Department - she was extremely helpful and provided me a number of options regarding consolidation. We talked about the benefits/cons of moving to another bank and discussed the importance of asking about fees. She even volunteered to help me with financial and pay off strategies at a later date. The customer service has always been extremely helpful here. It is the main reason I haven’t refinanced elsewhere.

Never had a late payment until BND started payments on one of my loans 4 months early without telling me. I learned through EQUIFAX that I was 45 days overdue. What a scam. Also, last year their website was down for a month where they were transferring accounts to their new website and when the new website went up I had to contact them that I had no loan info on their new page. Took them over two weeks to fix it.

Initially left a bad review due to a late payment issue. However, a customer agent reached out to me and we actually worked out a fix. Perfect example of excellent customer service.

0 stars. Stay away. Customer service is a joke and won't help you if you ever need it. Better options out there don't go with this bank.
