I've had good experiences with the people who work at this store, but buying meat here has become a gamble. It's not just that sometimes all of the breakfast meat on the shelf is already out of date. It's that you buy other meats, pork or, most recently for me, meatloaf mix, and then get home, open the package and immediately smell that it is off. I've spent thousands of dollars in this store since I moved to Youngsville in 2012, and I'm done with it. I'll drive a little further down to Harris-Teeter, where the prices are higher but they don't consistently sell you turned meat.

Today while at self checkout this African American Attendant came to me while I was checking out my items and just started going through my bags. It's so crazy how she just approached assuming I was stealing when all along all she had to do was review her little handheld to see that everything in the bags had been scanned properly. This is an example of horrible customer service and lack of training. Employers need to become aware of how employees approach customers because from now on, I will drive to larger retailers to make purchases regardless of price and location due to bad customer service, lack of professionalism and training. Do better please!

Customer service was poor. As it was in the self check line one of the workers came and started mopping under my cart while I was completing my transaction. I also had a budget however with inflation I went over my budget a tad bit and wanted to transfer money. They worker came behind me and began to mop aggressively. I will never be going to this food lion again. I can't assume why out of all the places in the store the worker only wanted to mop where I was standing while also not putting a hazard sign after mopping but you put two and two together.

Sooo... I just kinda got held up today in the food lion parking lot and zero people cared or called the police. Just goes to show you this food lion is a very dangerous place and people will not look out for you.

Very rude manager! Damaged detergent bottle crushed lid and no others there in the store. Asked if discounted and said no. That's fine but with an attitude. Said we don't want it then because it was leaking and hole in the lid and answered with bigger attitude " That's just fine" snatched it and walked away. No I'm sorry about that or anything. Would rather drive up to other food lion for quick needs.

No enforcement of Gov. Cooper's mask policy. I won't shop there again until they start to enforce the policy (employees and public alike) or it's safe to go out without masks. Hello Lowe's Foods.

I am only giving this a one star review because I have to. I am tired of the political BS that is hated from within. Example whole the majority of the folks are wearing masks some dumb**s walks in with out a mask. Signs all over to wear one, state rule to wear one and nothing was said. Was it because he was wearing a political shirt ( same one that was used to take over the capital). When asked why the store did not say anything and did not serve this person, management said nothing. Guess I will be taking my business to Lowe's Food, Harris Teeter, Publix, Wegmans. Same on you Food Lion that profit takes a more important position over the safety of your customers!!!!!

I lost my card. I know that first sentence sounds far from the start of a five star review, but there's a happy ending. I drove back to the last place I remembered using the card which was Food Lion. I was for sure I wouldn't find, but luckily an employee turned it in! Really appreciate the help. Thanks again. On a normal day, shopping here is easy. They have good deals on pork and beef. It's helpful that I can get a smaller portion since only one person in my home eats red meat.
