We brought our camry here. It needed some engine work due to a bad oil change. They quoted us around $1,200, took several months for repairs. Which we understand cause of backorder. But when we went to pay and get our car the dude told us almost $4,000. Look up NC auto repair act.
We didn't have the money. Legally in NC we are supposed to be notified of price changes. Had the man called us to ask, we would have picked up the car without the charges. Instead, he chose to do the work on the car without our approval. So when we went to pick up the car he tried to charge us around $3,500. We didn't have the money.
We took him to court. Didn't end up in our favor, mainly due to the judge.
Please avoid this man if possible. Please avoid.

Old guy at front desk was very rude. Went in to get an inspection on my car. I just moved here 7 months ago and the guy said he couldn't complete the inspection because my registration card was in a different county other than Yadkin. I have never heard of this, nor the DMV when I called them about it. The older guy just didn't want to service me, maybe because I'm African American, I'm not sure but the lie he told was ridiculous. I immediately called the DMV and they said they had no clue what he was talking about and I could get an inspection anywhere within NC that is registered as an official inspection place. The DMV told me to go to another auto shop and don't trust this place. I went to another auto shop down the road and they completed the inspection without any issues!

When my car died recently I had it towed to Yadkin Car Care at the tow guy's insistence. YCC performed $460 worth of unauthorized repairs on my car because they 'couldn't get in touch with me'. What that really means is they called at 8:30am and I couldn't get in touch with them until 1pm. I tried calling earlier but they have no voicemail (seriously guys??).
Adding insult to injury is that the work they performed did not fix my car. They replaced the starter, but that was only a symptom of the bigger engine failure. Before they looked at the car, I gave them a heads up that I suspected this would be a Hyundai recall issue covered under warranty and asked them to check it out but not do any major repairs. They both ignored this request and also completely missed the fact that the engine needed to be replaced even though I gave them a heads-up. The car died again 30 miles after I picked it up and, sure enough, I got a new engine from Hyundai.
If I ever have a car die in Yadkinville again, I will definitely NOT bring it here.

The older man was very rude not nice and embarrassed me in front of everyone because I asked him a question. He told me nothing about what was wrong and all of this started after I had my oil changed by them a few days before.

I really wanted to have faith in this place. As once before, they did a really good job fixing the steering wheel column in my wife's car. But the last 2 times I had services done once on my wife's car and once on mine they did not fix the problem. In attempting to fix my wife's car, her turning signals would not work. We dropped it off and asked them to inspect the car to see if there was a way to fix that. After 2 days, we were told it was fixed, and we paid them. As we were driving off the lot, the turning signals still did not work. We went back and told them. And then we were charged to replace a light bulb that they said that they may have touched. My wife's turning signals to this day, still do not work, and we've called and told them, and they said they don't know what's going on. I recently dropped off my car with a check engine light. And upon going to other places to have my check engine light looked at, it was a 0² sensor. I dropped it off and asked them to fix it. I came to pick up my car, paid $90, and was told that I just needed to use better gas. One day later, my check engine light came on again. So I called and asked what they did to my car and told them that my check engine light was back on. I was told to bring in the car and was asked if even though the check engine light is on, is it still running well? I brought in the car, and the older man at the front desk talked to me as if I were a child. He told me that I didn't do what he said. He said, "I told you to run a couple of tanks of better gas through it. Have you done that yet?" I said, "Well, it's only been a day, and I dropped my car off, expecting a check engine light to not be an issue anymore." I asked what was done to my car. He laughed in my face and said I don't know where's your receipt? As a local busines, I really wanted to give this place a shot, but unfortunately, I can not and will not recommend them to anyone in the future. And I myself, nor my wife will be returning.

My family has taken our car there 3 times. I guess we were the idiots for that. The first time they successfully fixed the steering wheel column. The 2nd time my turn signals and brake lights were not working. They said they fixed it, but while driving off of the lot-the right turn signal did not work. I went right back and they charged me to replace a bulb. Needless to say, my turn signals still do not work. We attributed it to being something specific with my car. Then this week, my husband's check engine light was on for an O2 sensor. We took it in, and they said it was done in 2 days. Said the sensors just needed cleaning. The check engine light came back on 2 days later. We took it back, the same code came up. The older man there (he answers the phone) said "did you do what i told you and run high test fuel?" My husband said we did get a tank of high test but it had only been 2 days. He then said "see you didnt do what I told you." My husband asked what they did when they had it. The man laughed at us and said "I don't know -let me see your receipt." We gave him the receipt and he said that they inspected the sensors and all of them looked good so there wasn't a need to replace them, just to clean them up and run better fuel. He told us that the sensors are $150 and there are 4 of them and we don't want to change them unnecessarily. They charged us $90 and all the recipt says is "engine analysis." He said to just drive the high test and it would be fine. The check engine light is back on again. He never apologized, or expressed his appreciation for our return-nothing. He was condescending. The examples speak for themselves.

Giving them 2 stars is me being nice! The only one who deserved the 2 stars is the son and the mechanics, otherwise I'd give them 0 stars if I could. This place needs to get rid of the dad (older guy) (he works the front desk and the phone) he is the absolute rudest person I've ever dealt with in customer service. Don't expect him to call you. You will need to constantly call in to hear any update whatsoever and the older guy even laughed at me for my troubles. The story is about a year or two ago, I towed my Jeep to them, and they repaired it with a bad or faulty item. That means I had to have it towed to them again, they refused to eat the second tow cost (Total of $240 in tow cost at this point). This annoyed me since I believed it was on them, but I get it, the part was faulty but then when I asked the older guy to, he laughed at my situation and was very rude. He even was annoyed I kept calling for updates every other day or so. Without the older guy there, I'd probably give them 4 to 5 stars, older guy needs to go, or I suspect your business will.

Took me four times to get four very bad experiences. Shame on me. James is rude and I don’t need to hear his politics. Put wrong size brake shoes on, constant rubbing noise. Tried to charge for a new transmission one time when all it needed was a $20 gasket. The mechanic I go to now says he wouldn’t let them sharpen his lawnmower blade.

James and josh are some of the most honest people I know. And they do good work. If you are having car troubles take it to them and they will get it repaired.
