Just spent 3 days and 4 nights here. Had a room with ocean view and wrap around balcony. Very nice. Bed comfortable. Room clean. Small kitchenette with microwave and two burner stove. We brought food with us to cook and/or heat up. We saved some money by doing this and it worked well for us. We could have used a toaster but not a major issue. People nice. Easy access to the beach. It is not a modern motel but clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend.

Located right on the pier. Rooms are efficiently equipped with a small kitchen.

I considered giving this motel 3 stars, as the owner did provide us a refund and listened to our concerns. However, I feel that would be misleading;our room was dirty , the property was quite loud, and the staff present seemed apathetic at best.The room received was not the room shown in the booking. Our room had an adjoining door which (along with thin walls) made for a very noisy night.There was a strong musty odor upon entering the room , which I suspect was from the mold in the bathroom. A large amount of what appeared to be black mold behind the toilet , mildew stains on the top and bottom of the showers curtain, and a dingy tub with soap scum. The bedding had a stain, the dining table was sticky…I could go on , but I think I’ve said enough. We checked out (5 days early)unsure we would get a refund after staying 1 very uncomfortable night.

Yery convenient. The balcony views are awesome! Room was clean and spacious, staff was very pleasant. This was our first stop at Wrightsville Beach so we can't compare with other places here but our 1 night stay didn't disappoint.Its great walking straight out onto the beach! If you are looking for luxury, its not your place. Its older but very nice and a sturdy building. Great location, spacious, clean, full size fridge. I'd like to come back and stay a week or more.

Good place to stay next to Pier. Big room with a good view of the blue ocean. The beds are a little to firm for me. Covered parking is big plus in the august sun. Probably stay here again. It was quiet to.

The motel itself is OK, but our shower head had a huge amount of green buildup on it. You could tell it hadn't been cleaned in a long time, and it made the shower water smell bad, and the water spray out funky. The washer also didn't work right. It didn't spin out the clothes good, so I had to hand ring them all before drying. Other than that it's an average place neither great nor terrible. The beach access was definitely nice though. The low rating is mostly because of the shower, that's one of the main things that should be cleaned to me.

Great hidden gem located right on the beach. So glad we found this place and will stay here again in a heartbeat.

A great location if your looking for east beach access but if your not pressed I would choose and alternate option. For the price it's not worth it. I read the reviews and saw that it was very clean, as traveling with small children who require lots of toys etc I opted for the convenience of location. Worst decision even though the amenities etc you still have to think about other patrons the motel attracts. I quickly learned how thin the walls were and so loud music playing all night , after being in the water and sun I got zero sleep. Everyone leaves at 11 and only option advised was to call the police. Originally gave this place 4 stars but now dropping it to 1 as no matter how much fun you have if you don't get any rest you question if it was even worth it. Next time I'll just stick to the wagon and pay for parking

I would definitely stay here again. It’s a no frills motel and it’s old and dated. But it’s clean and has everything you need. Staff is great. Location is great. They have covered parking. The beds are comfortable. And there is a balcony at each room. And a private little pier and entrance to the beach which is perfect. I was amazed how quiet the rooms are they have great sliding glass doors that deafen the sound. I do imagine the noise with in the hotel could be heard if it’s busier cause it’s an older place so walls are thinner. But that is to be expected. Prices are good and overall a very nice stay.

I noticed this hotel is rated 2 star on Google. I chose it because we were coming to town on business and I wanted a place to stay on the ocean that was reasonable for "spending the night only" and no vacation time. Well, Google - you need to upgrade your rating system for this hotel! It was very reasonably priced compared to the competition. The room was very clean, the kitchen was more than convienent, and the staff were most helpful and friendly. We were not able to get "ocean front" however, we could see the beautiful ocean sunrise from our balcony. We enjoyed our stay so much, it is now on our must visit list when we want a beach vacation. It is so nice to be pleasantly surprised when you go somewhere new. Thank you Silver Gull Staff.
