Got a lesson with Sean and caught some of the best waves of my life as a new-ish surfer.Iv surfed a bit over the past few years and Sean was very helpful and shared a ton of knowledge about how to catch waves and have fun in the ocean. Thanks!

Absolutely great experience. My daughter, who is younger and has never surfed before, signed up for the week long surf camp and had the best introduction to surfing I could have asked for. The instructors (especially Henry, who was my daughter's instructor; and Mary, who gave attention and encouragement to my daughter) were all super friendly, engaging, attentive, encouraging, and made the classes a lot of fun. Henry taught my daughter a lot valuable skills, that he reinforced with practice, and overall he really fostered her interest in surfing to a point we're signing up for additional classes.

I met Sean in Wrightsville beach while waiting on another small business owner to meet with me. He , and one of his instructors with him, were extremely nice and informative. Very easy to engage with, receptive and patient.I observed first hand him working with the several various aged children. Making sure they had proper sizing of boards, educating on the surf and methods of maneuvering the board. They took time to answer all sorts of questions from the children. Including from us parents. After the children hit the water with them, I was speaking with the parents waiting and they shared how much their children loved the lessons and the instructors. When the kids came back, they were exhausted in a good way! Happy and of course starving lolI find this to be effective approach for learning the sport for those esp that may get overwhelmed or overstimulated by larger number of people in the group. But also if your child tried a camp and found they loved surfing this is great option to also feed their desire to keep learning and refining their surf skills.

Went over the 4th of July weekend. Our instructors were very knowledgeable and patient. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get some baseline knowledge of the sport and set yourself up with forming some good habits.

My husband Gareth and I are visiting Wilmington from the UK. Chris gave an amazing lesson even though I'm incredibly clumsy. I released my inner mermaid and became one with the wave ? highly recommend 10/10

This was a great experience for my son at surf camp this summer. Very organized and executed well. Registration online was simple which I love. He was brand new never surfed before and he had a blast. I would definitely recommend it.

On a whim, 3 of my family members and I decided to do a surfing lesson. My uncle found Sean's Private Surf Instruction on Google and we booked a lesson for 4 of us. We were running a bit behind and didn't go to the correct spot, but our instructors called to check on us when we didn't get there in time and directed us to where we needed to be. Even though the water was relatively calm during our lesson time, each of us was able to get up on our board at least a few times. Our instructors were Luke and Tori. They were so positive and encouraging. It was so much fun! Would highly recommend and would rebook again!

My husband and I recently moved to Wilmington this year and wanted to take on surfing. We decided to book a 1.5 hr private lesson with JC and had a great experience. He made us feel so safe and comfortable in the water, as this was a first for us and we both stood up a handful of times!! Awesome experience, definitely booking again.

Amazing! One of my favorite activities this week, this summer... this life! Our family of 4 (kids = 11 & 13) showed up at 8a for our 8:15 lesson. Chris and Evan were our instructors. I cannot imagine it going any better. My first run, I did on my knees. Next, I was standing up. I ended up coming in and watching my family. My kids were standing up and looking so comfortable on the board. This was an amazing adventure - the small class size of 2 people to 1 instructor is dead on perfect!Check this out and have fun!

Sean made a surfer out of our 14-year-old son in two lessons. We most liked that Sean initially acted like training wheels, showing our son how to pick the right wave and telling him when to pop up, but quickly got him to the point where he could do those important pieces independently. Awesome job, Sean!

Chris is the best! We had a private lesson on Saturday morning. Our instructor Chris was a great hang, super knowledgeable and had us up in the water in no time. We will be back and requesting the weatherman!
