I have been staying at the Sandpeddler for over a decade. I have stayed many times over the years, but I will no longer be doing business with them after my experience today. I don't recommend that others do business with the Sandpeddler either.I booked a specific unit back in August. When I showed up to check-in today, I was assigned to another unit without notification. The units at the Sandpeddler vary a lot. Some of the units are very nice, but some of the units are not so great. I obviously booked a very nice unit. I was moved to a unit that didn't have a great view, had a smaller balcony & wasn't as nicely updated. I wasn't okay with that. I wouldn't have booked the unit that I was assigned to. Had I been notified of the change in advance, I would have cancelled the reservation.The manager, Toni, told me that it is in the hotel's policies that rooms & prices are subject to change. So, BUYERS BEWARE! You may reserve a room for a certain price but that price may change. You may reserve a nice unit, but you may be assigned to a not so great unit upon arrival. And, the hotel is totally okay with charging you more or giving you a subpar unit. Afterall, that is their policy! Personally, I think that it is a terrible policy, so I obviously won't be spending my money there anymore.I do suggest the Surf Suites right across the street. All of their units are the same, and they are all updated. That hotel is also ocean front. Honestly, I am confused on why I just didn't stay at The Surf in the first place. It would have saved me a bunch of stress & annoyance to just avoid the bad service at the Sandpeddler. Plus, the Surf is cheaper! You can definitely do better than the Sandpeddler, so don't settle for less.Rooms: Some rooms are very well done & have nice views. Some rooms don't have great views & have old, outdated furniture. Since you don't know if you will actually get the room you reserve, it's a gamble knowing if you will get a nice room or a gross room.Walkability: The hotel is walkable to the beach, a restaurant, a coffee shop & surf shop.Noteworthy details: Hotel policies can leave the customer in a unit that they didn't reserve, and there is a very good chance that the unit won't be as nice. Hotel policies also state that the price is subject to change, so you may end up paying more than you thought you were going to pay. Buyer beware!

Rooms were nice and spacious and clean would always love to come back to the sandpeddler.Safety: Safe as can be for these times never felt like I was endangered.Walkability: 50 ft to the pier.

Even though I have spent much time in Wrightsville Beach over the years, I have never stayed at Sandpeddler Inn & Suites until just a few days ago. I found it to be a very pleasant experience from reservation to check-out. Located across the street from The Oceanic Restaurant, it is convenient, provides a great view of the ocean and reserved parking spaces. The suite was roomy, comfortable, quiet, and clean, providing a full kitchen, living area, and a separate bedroom and bath. All the comforts of home are provided at a very reasonable price. The best part of all was the pleasant helpful people I encountered. All employees were super nice and extremely helpful. I felt genuinely welcomed as I was not greeted by a litany of rules and threats of consequences as I have sometimes encountered at lesser hotels. Hospitality is defined by the staff of Sandpeddler Inn & Suites.

I've been coming here every year for the last 3-4 years and always love my stay. The rooms are all nice and unique, very clean and usually quiet. Awesome and very accommodating staff! I particularly enjoy my interactions with Stephen and Toni. ?Good work guys and as always thanks for having me; I'll be back many years to come.

The staff was accommodating and helped secure a room and last minute. Super helpful and friendly as well. The rooms are like your own private apartment, and the sandpeddler is located right across the street from the ocean. Amazing experience overall!

Nice place to stay close yo beach. Staff was very helpful to make our stay enjoyable. The kitchen allowed us to store ample foods for when we prepared meals and cook .

Stayed in newly updated 106. Beautifully decorated with nice upfits. Exactly as pictured on web site. Friendly staff and great location. Short walk to the beach. Loved having nightly stay option as this was a long weekend getaway for my husband and me. Will def stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay! Directly across the street from the Oceanic and beach access, very clean, great coffee, and parking was perfect!! Quiet, and loved the view on the private deck. We will return!

Ants everywhere in room 206! Treated me like it was my fault and offered no discount for inconvenience this caused our family! Ant poison on walls, ant traps left out without notifying us. Front door dead bolt did not work, bathroom doors do not stay shut! Other renters complained of ants and a water leak from the ceiling while I was complaining of my ant problem! Would not return our money for wanting to leave early, crooks!

Location, accommodations, cleanliness and Customer service is outstanding.This was my husband and I second time here and we absolutely loved it again.We already are looking forward to being back next summer !!!Rooms: Spacious, neat, clean with everything we need for our stay.Nearby activities: Beach, pier, bike rides, walks, bird sanctuary at the Jetti.Safety: Always felt safe!Walkability: Restaurants, coffee shop, shops, downtown, beach, pier, sunrises and sunsets.Food & drinks: The Oceanic right across the street it’s a wonderful restaurant with delicious food and drinks. Plus the pier to walk out to and relax watching the ocean and sunset it’s beautiful.

I have been staying at the Sandpeddler for the last 7 years during my annual vacation to Wrightsville Beach and it never disappoints! The location is perfect, while not paying premium prices for being beach front. You still have an amazing view of the ocean from the room's balcony. The room was clean upon arrival and tended to every day by the housekeeping staff. The front desk staff is very helpful and even allowed us to borrow beach towels and toys for the week! We will definitely be returning to the Sandpeddler next year for our vacation.

This place is beyond amazing. I traveled alone with my 4 year old son and I have no regrets. The room was spacious and had everything we needed to feel at home. The view from my balcony was relaxing. It was peaceful and well kept. EVERY employee was friendly and so helpful, from the front desk attendants to the housekeeping staff. I highly recommend this place. I just got home yesterday, and I've already booked my next visit.

I don’t normally review the places I stay on vacation, but Sandpeddler was great. The location is close to the beach, the room we had was spacious, very clean and had really nice pots, pans and other cooking tools. We also had a nice view of the ocean from our room and balcony. It was the quickest check in and checkout process I have ever encountered. Overall, we had an amazing beach trip and will be coming back to stay at this place. I recommend you do the same.
