I whole wholeheartedly thought I had found the mechanic I thought I could rely on. He had done a couple jobs for my mother and didnt over charge and was honest. I called on a Tuesday and asked if they could change my thermostat. I was questioned on the phone why I felt like I needed a thermostat. I explained, but that was neither here nor there. I was advised that I would need to drop off for the day. I said it may not be tomorrow, but the next day, to which i was told that would be fine. I made arrangements to drop my vehicle off at 7am on Thursday as I work an 8-5. When I called at 8:30 to make sure they had my info, i was asked again what I needed to which I stated a thermostat. I was questioned again to my request. "What makes you think you need a thermostat?" When you go to a restaraunt and ask for a steak, do they ask you why you think you want a steak? He said, let me call you back in 30 min. I get a call from a different fella, who for the 3rd time asks me why I think I need a thermostat. He then proceeds to tell me he wont be able to look at it that day because you never know what can happen once you get it open. So you're telling me once you "get it open" to change the thermostat, you won't know what can happen? So a less than $100 job can turn into "we don't know when we can get to it or what it can turn into?" I am disappointed because I really thought Tommy's was going to be my hometown go-to mechanic. But apparently if you know what you want and ask for it specifically, they arent for you. Lastly, when I went to pick up my vehicle, after 5 min of me getting my car out out its tight spot, an employee comes out, while on the phone and askes me if I'm the owner of the vehicle. I said yeah. And he turned and went back inside. Super glad he verified!

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I took my car in on a Saturday because the check engine light was on and my car wasn't starting up correctly. They were able to repair it the same day and the price was very fair.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Tommy’s garage was a life saver. While driving from Florida to PA our developed a terrible shake. We pulled into Winston Salem NC and since it was a Sunday no garage was opened. Tommy’s was able to take us at 8am the next morning and quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad rear tire. The steel belt blew. He promptly replaced the tires at a reasonable price and we were back on our way. He could have taken advantage of us, but didn’t. He was prompt, honest and fair. We are very appreciative

Tommy's was a life saver for us. While driving from Florida to Pennsylvania our car developed a severe shake. We feared the worst. Either a control arm, tie rods ball joints and the like. Tommy took us right in at 8am. Immediately put the car on the lift and diagnosed the problem was only a bad rear tire. The steel belt blew. He could have taken advantage of us, but he didn't. He was prompt, honest and fair. We are grateful.

The food was decent,the counter person was nice and knew the special off the top of his head. I only gave 3* because the food is good but the side dishes (the size) left a lil to be desired. If you're in a hurry stop in they will treat you right!
