August 6, 2024: I brought my 2008 MKZ in for what I thought was a water leak. This was a real duh moment for me...turns out the coolant reservoir had simply kicked out the excess and no leakage was found. I appreciate the honesty and stellar customer service. By the way I owe one of the techs an over due lunch for troubleshooting what I thought was a hopeless alternator situation. I will take care of this sir.”

Side note: Growing up as a woman in the rural South, you kind of learned a little bit about a lot of things. I know the basics of how how an engine works, but I couldn't take one apart/put it back together. It's important to find those tradesmen and subject matter experts that we can rely on and trust to not take advantage of our ignorance. “Very pleased. I took a good used tire that I had saved for several years to Mr. Boyd. Mr. Boyd installed it on the wheel that had a damaged tire that had happened recently. This was for my daughters car and she was with me during the repair. This repair was made very professionally, because it has held air over a week now and my daughter has had no problem with the work on the tire. After the job Mr. Boyd gave us both a Lolli pop. This is an honest at straight forward man and I enjoyed doing business with him. It cost me 17 dollars which included the cost to dispose of the damaged tire I had brought. Very reasonable for me. Thanks Mr. Boyd.

“Shattalon Tire and Automotive are a group of great mechanics I am really appreciative of thier knowledge feedback and help! I have older vehicles I only trust a few mechanic shops with the safety of my daughter and the other drivers I encounter on the road and just like Mt Airy Tire and Automotive , Shattalon Tire and Automotive makes the cut they are a very hardworking group of Mechanics very trustworthy and knowledgeable! Great prices fast service and dependable work they put an entire coolant system into my 1984 Camaro Z28 all except for a new thermostat because as they expresses if it isn't broke don't fix it and the truth is my cars temperature doesn't go above 190 and I'm pretty sure that's the temperature my 1984 CamaroZ28 thermostat is supposed to have. I called them with an emergency I woke up one morning and realized my radiator was cracked so they ordered the radiator then realized the water pump was old and leaky and was able to order a new one that day and get me back on the road they suggested new hoses because the previous owner had chrome hoses as he was using it as a show car and not a daily driver and also a reservoir tank because my old one was leaking coolant and not reliable they was able to do all of this work in a few hours time and priced the repair very reasonable and will always recommend their Mechanics shop to people who value the safety of themselves and others!”

“Thoroughly impressed with this excellent tire and trailer service!! I was asked by my Fleet Manager, Reggie Roberts, to bring my truck to initially have a couple drive tires replaced, but due to their professional expertise and advise, they suggested all the drive tires be replaced. They explained why this needed to be accomplished, especially Kenneth, who I was initially impressed with because of his obvious intelligence and friendliness!! I also had informed them that the trailer brakes may need to be adjusted due to issues with moving the tandems on my last load run. They were able to quickly and efficiently find that there was a definite issue with the trailer brakes and that they would need to be replaced. What really impressed me was their attention to detail, obvious competence and the quickness of their work. They also had a very nice and comfortable waiting area that definitely was needed at the time. I hadn’t had much sleep due to my last run, but the environment was warm and inviting and allowed for me to have a chance to take a breather and relax for a few moments! Much appreciation and kudos to the entire staff that made my brief stay there an enjoyable and excellent experience!! Keep up the great work!!”
“Had to stop for an emergency ? break check. We live at least an hour away but took a shot on hoping they could squeeze us in, and they did just that. They ended up changing our breaks and letting us know that when we had them changed last, they were put on wrong ?. Thank you so much.it’s so very hard to find a good and honest mechanic. “We had a friend of ours bike got a flat. We were able to change the tire on the side of the road but we could not get it to completely bead up. So we took it to them via another bike and they immediately jumped on it with only a few minutes before they closed. They were able to get the motorcycle tire to bead up for us. I asked him how much he said, no charge. However, we still gave him a good tip. I would give them 10 stars if I could. They really came through for us. And I will tell you from experience, there are not many places that still do this (not like it used to be. Where are all the good people?) which is a shame!”

“Have you ever brought your car in to be serviced and braced yourself for the price estimate? Well, that was us recently when our car's computer alerted us that we needed new brakes. However at PARRISH AUTO SERVICE on Peacehaven near Robinhood, they really showed their integrity. They looked at the brakes and said they didn't care what the computer said, we didn't need new brakes, yet. They could have simply done the work and taken our money, but that didn't happen.
