Looks to.me like everyone that is happy or satisfied had there windshield replaced, i had a chip in our vehicle someone came out and said no problem he can fill it and make it disappear, when he was done it was still there and look worst than when he started, someone else came out and looked at it and said that what the other tech had done he could not fix we would have to replace the windshield which would have been 500 dollars we declined and now the chip has become a crack that goes from one sidevto the other,i was very disappointed in there service.

Sadly the store manager of this location has terrible customer service skills and an even worse combative attitude. While I have used other Safelite locations in the past and might again in the future, I suggest avoiding this location like the plague.

In a crazy world in which it seems many corporations just don't seem to care about their customers and completely miss the opportunities related to serving customers well, what a DELIGHT to meet the team at the Winston-Salem Safelite!
I was frustrated that I had to get my windshield replaced after a bug (bird?) hit it hard during a road trip.
My insurance company was bureaucratic. The other two companies involved from a canceled flight and rental car were beyond insane.
BUT, then there was Safelite, an oasis of SANITY and stellar CUSTOMER SERVICE.
The team was human, expert, professional, timely, had integrity, customer-focused...and real!
I hope you never need your windshield replaced, but if you do, Safelite offers a breathe of fresh air of incredible customer service.
Thank you team!

They never showed the entire day!! They never called to inform me that they were not going to be at my home to replace windshields in two vehicles, Then [John] abruptly hung the phone up while I was inquiring about no one showing up!
I’ve used Safelite for over 20 years, (even with my company vehicles) and I can honestly say that I’ve never experienced anything like this. The unprofessionalism, the nonchalant attitude, the Arrogant “I don’t need your business” demeanor - it took me by surprise!
On Thursday, July 25th 2024, I stayed home from work an entire day waiting on the Safelite technicians to arrive. I had an appointment scheduled that day between the hours of 8am & 1pm. Bret Knight, manager at the Winston Salem NC store, had telephoned me the day before to confirm the appointment). But no one showed up.
I contacted ‘ Piedmont Triad Auto Glass’. Not only were they much cheaper, (over $200 less for OEM) but they were extremely courteous, on time and expertly replaced the broken windshields in record time.
Although, I’ve used Safelite at other locations for decades, the attitude of John and his supervisor, (Bret Knight) has ruined that relationship for life. I will never use them again, Nor will I recommend Safelite to anyone.
I emailed the regional manager and am still waiting a response.

At the end of February I needed my windshield replaced. I scheduled safelite for that following Saturday. The tech came, he installed it (aftermarket windshield- had I been given a choice I would've chosen oem) and left. After he left I noticed some issues-my mirror bracket cover was broken and the mirror was not in the correct place at all (he did not inform me), there was glue left on the windshield, the seal wasn't correctly aligned with the car, and although it wasn't much-it want centered exactly. I put in a work order for those things and the following occurred. This is the first day i had to miss work to get something took care of that was safelites cause/ issue. A tech came out and agreed that my cover was broken and needed to be replaced. Told me the seal could've been fixed by myself (even though I paid them to install correctly and for me to not have to fix anything myself). Cleaned the glass. Then told me that it's not gonna be perfect even though I paid the price for perfection. The tech told me I would have to come up there to have the cover looked at. Now we're on the 2nd day I've had to miss with to take my car to the branch. I get there and first I'm told by the manager that my mirror is in the correct place and that I basically didn't know the details of my car that I've owned for 6 years and honestly I feel like he was mansplaining in his that I didn't know my own stuff. Fortunately I had a picture of what it should look like and just like that- he said they would get it fixed. They pull my car back and after about 45 minutes they tell me it's ready. I assumed they fixed my mirror cover appropriately and that my mirror was in the place it was from factory. Everything LOOKED fine. A few weeks ago, my windshield cracked for no apparent reason. Within 24 hours of the crack occurring my mirror cover starts moving around. I look and much to my dismay they didn't fix anything. They used windshield glue to pretend that it was mounted correctly and the heat of the south proved they did not di things right at all. So I make a warranty claim. They send another tech out in another Saturday, that makes it the 3rd time I've had to miss work due to safelite. I knew immediately why he was a warranty tech when he said very little to me, walked right over to my car and immediately said that my windshield wouldn't be covered under warranty because he's "been doing this for 17 years" and knows what he's doing in a very unpleasant tone. He tells me that if I wanted to talk to a manager that i could. I term him in not going to talk to a manager because it was the manager who deceived me to begin with in regards to fixing my car when I took it back up there. This same tech told me that the aftermarket windshields are cheap and break easily. He checked out my mirror cover and said that yes, it was broken and that there's nothing he could do to fix it since they glued it already. The tech said that the manager should've replaced it instead of bsn (his literal words). He said that he would havethem order me another one and I didn't hear anything else for weeks. I contacted safelite customer care who transferred me to the shop. Whomever I spoke to said that i would have to bring my car up there, yet again, because while he was the one that orders the parts- he had to get approval. I told him that there was no way in going to miss a 4th day of work all because safelite didn't do the job correctly to begin with. Hec wouldn't budge after thing back and forth for 5 minutes. He even said they had no documentation of my issues, as if that's my fault and not theirs. I do, however, have documentation in email that states the issues. I hang up and call back and speak to another rep who tells me she's requested that the DM contact me that day. I got no phone calls from safelite. Take your hard earned money elsewhere cuz safelite does not know how to treat customers or their cars.

Had my windshield replaced by their mobile unit. Samuel my tech i inn Tampa performed flawlessly. Total attention to detail. Had one issue with a defective wiper blade. The Safelite store here in Winston Salem fixed the problem quickly. I won't go anywhere else for auto glass issues.

My review is based solely upon the attempt to get an idea of what it would cost me, out of pocket, to get my windshield replaced. Evidently, it can only be done online, which isn't always convenient for a potential customer with a broken windshield. Saving money by not providing someone to speak with may not be the best way to gain new customers.

I had to get my windshield fixed recently and went with Safelite AutoGlass because thats who my insurance uses. They were pretty straightforward about the whole process and got the job done without any fuss. If you need a quick fix for your car’s glass, they’re a solid bet as any.

The worst Customer Service Ever!!! I wish they had -5 stars. Don't even want to give 1 star. Safelite is TERRIBLE and I will NEVER EVER USE OR RECOMMEND!!! They had an excuse both times they came out and on 4/16/24 - Scott left the door undone and unsafe for driving even after stating that I taped the window up and it's safe to drive. They claimed it was a warehouse issue but they are untrustworthy from 4/10/24 when they started cancelling and changing dates!! Glad we wasn't stranded cause we would have died!!!
